Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Bud RV is Coming?
Children’s Toy Closet sent along an official photo from Mattel – it’s Bud RV!
Is he actually coming? Next deluxe cases do not list him but will they squeeze him in another case? Or perhaps a box set or two coming this Christmas. Photos supplied by Mattel are generally accurate to something coming soon but often times, they are randomly assigned to different sub-product lines.
Of course, Bud’s not accurate without his Boundin’ art …
The short … (and of course, an appearance by Stanley)
And the remake with Mater & Lightning.
Are you entertained?
In 2010, Mattel asked us to ask you what diecasts you wanted – most are actually out even if it took 6 years …
Thanks for the heads up and photo, “ChildrensToyCloset.”
(from Cars 2) LEMONS!!!
Easy repaints, particularly a hatless black Hugo.
Back in 2010 I voted in the survey and said:
The 100 characters in the Disney book Meet the Cars are the ones that I want made. All of them. The RV’s would complete all the characters except for Alarm Clock. The remaining Cars Characters not yet made are on the final lap coming list. So these are the must haves on my list:
R.M RV
Larry RV
Albert Hinkey RV
The Convoy Brothers: Great for a four pack
Syd Vanderkamper RV
But where is Alarm clock?
I want to thank Mattel for releasing so many of the RV’s this year, and the D23 releases. Some of the Final Lap cars we thought were coming still haven’t been released, so please consider making diecasts of these Cars.
Alarm Clock
Bennie Caliper
Bertha Butterswagon
Clayton Gentlebreeze RV
Dan Sclarkenberg never released as final lap.
Percy Hanbrakes target version booklet never released as Final Lap.
Syd Vanderkamper RV
Vroomaroundus Bugus
Trev Diesel Train
Bud RV
(MET: Thanks for the update list!)
How exactly would they do the Alarm Clock? He’s just table top sized, so not really a true “Car”. Maybe as an accessory plastic bit with a “shocked awake from a dream” Lightning McQueen?
I’m hoping for all the RV’s too — and may as well toss the “Autobahn Society” on your list, three dark gray painted versions of ‘Valerie Veate’ would suffice.
Here’s a start: http://s910.photobucket.com/user/SnobbyDisneyGirl/media/Cars%20Section%20Art%20of%20Animation/cars_alarm_clock_disney.jpg.html
It still appears that Mattel will eventually complete all the Cars from the Cars Finder Game … exciting!
I wouldn’t say “most” — only 5 of those requests from 2010 have seen a true retail release.
