ALL ABOARD for the Disney Publishing Book Contest!
Next stop – a super fun & comprehensive look at the history of Disney Trains – animated, live in the parks and in their literal backyards.
All Aboard: The Wonderful World of Disney Trains
An oversized book … “All Aboard explores the wide variety of trains in Disney’s history, accompanied by rare photographs from the Disney Archives and heretofore unseen conceptual artwork behind the trains in the movies and theme parks. Never before has such a comprehensive focus been exclusively trained on this fascinating topic. Fans of Disney history, rail history, and armchair travelers alike will be captivated by this museum-quality book.”
And of course, who doesn’t have a backyard train? 🙂
And now John has his.
Contest starts now and ends September 13, 2015 11:59:59 PM.

Good luck and thanks Disney Publishing for the great prizes!
And congrats ZipZap for winning the last contest!
And of course, a personal favorite that features the chipmunks getting Donald upset (that hardly ever happens), model trains and SCALE as the reason Donald is mad at Chip & Dale. PERFECT!
Who was the winner in the “ALL ABOARD for the Disney Publishing Book Contest”?
My copy came in the mail yesterday, it’s a fun little book, and adds another few bricks to the Disney railroad history. The new Kickstarter title I referenced should finish off the tale nicely.

More on topic, this is the second recent book on the history of the Disney Railroads, though this appears to be the “light” one. A fellow on Kickstarter just did a book that should be shipping early next month that is a hard history of only the Disneyland Railroad, and as a backer gift you got a free copy of the same author’s book on the “Ward Kimball” locomotive. For the primary reference work, you’d want Michael Broegge’s huge book on all the Disney railroads.
I just hope that Disney won’t make a “Trains” movie pleace, with Cars was amazing, Planes was so so, I think we don’t need more, it was fine with Cars only, I don’t like Planes, Traines, Boats or whatever it is.
Whatever, sorry guys to ask this, I this has nothing to do with this topic but I was just wondering if you remember the Cars Toon Tokyo Mater DVD:
http://www.takefiveaday.com/2010/08/04/mattel-disney-pixar-cars-wrestling-143-cars-in-the-uk-comes-with-tokyo-mater-dvd/
I just wanted to know if it has a menu and if you are able to post some more pics of it? (I know you post 2 pics of the language selection but I want to know if it include a menu for “Play, scene selection and more”). Thanks for your time 😉
