Lightning McQueen as Jedi Luke Skywalker box is a great looking diecast.
Not a real display case – just a bubble.
Great looking details.
Though I guess the wings don’t close?
Fun R2-D2 head.
Even the base is nicely painted.
Suspiciously like Mattel’s base.

I got my series 3 Star Wars Cars 2 weeks ago and have yet to take any out of the package. I’m an opener and this is one of my few carded displays.

Interesting execution, but what’s with all the paint runs in the black vent openings on what would be the actual human Luke’s chest pack?
The build quality on all these series 3 Cars is poor. They probably didn’t expect anyone to take the Cars out of the packages. There’s paint problems, mould flash and crooked logos on every model. My kids don’t care. 🙂
