    One quick search shows the Cars film franchise has made over a billion at the box office …but numbers vary.

    (MET: CARS Sells a BILLION dollars worth of merchandise a year – every year since 2007. CARS 2 probably boosted it to $1.5 BILLION for 2011 & 2012. CARSLAND helped Disney bring in 25% more people to CA ADV since its opening – you can do the math there – don’t forget the food spending also. 🙂 ).

    This makes me wonder just how much revenue Cars has gotten over it’s nearly 9 year course. Of course the box office revenue wouldn’t be anywhere close to that amount but I haven’t heard how much the toy sales have been in recent years
