Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Bruce Boxmann, Lewis Hamilton Crew Chief
While Bruce Boxmann does look like Bob Cutlass, he is a new sculpt.
Bob Cutlass is supposed to be a Oldsmobile Cutlass … the 1992-1995 version, I believe … so what kind of CAR is Lewis Hamilton’s Crew Chief? A European GM (Vauxhall or Opel?)
It’s a slightly nicer looking than Bob Cutlass …
Mattel could’ve definitely cheated and reused the Bob Cutlass mold so it’s nice they did a new one.
Even a different base – nice.
Thanks for the great pics, “John H!”
The interesting thing is there is new 2016 Buick Avenir that Bruce looks like …

More importantly, does this actually complete a series? The ten racers with crew chiefs have each had a crew chief actually released? Amazing, Mattel!!

“According to Car Finder, Bob is a 1998 Saxon GTSC (Grand Touring Sport Coupe). He is also based on a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, although the Aurora was never offered as a 2 door model.”
Since Boxmann is the same body style …here goes nothing.

(MET: Yea, he does vaguely resemble an Aurora …).
who says bob cutlass is based on an olds cutlass? does that info come from pixar? i thought it was only named cutlass because of bob costas. i dont think it looks anything like any cutlass.
I think 1991 was the last year Oldsmobile ever produced a 2-door coupe.
I wonder if the inspiration for these two cars might be the Holden Monaro? (also versions sold as the Vauxhall Monaro and Pontiac GTO in the US) This was a V8 rear drive coupe of about the right proportions. Could explain why British Lewis Hamilton has him as a crew chief.
Do Bruce Boxman’s eyes look a little big? Almost Disney Store size/style eyes.
