Disney Pixar CARS: Disney Store Frank & the Tractor Tipping Set is Back
The Disney Store Tractor Tipping Set is back – it comes with with Frank the Combine, 3 Tractors, Lightning and Mater is back.
It doesn’t look different from last year’s release but I did not get the last set, just looking at the supplied photos.
There is also a price increase to $69.95.
Here’s what the box looked like last year, the new packaging is much more dynamic looking.

Looks like it’s a run of 2000 pieces.
This year will be the the first time I have purchased this Tractor Tippin’ set. I hope this will not be a let down.
Initially, I was very interested in this set until I read awhile ago that the Disney Store characters (and their parts) were not particularly well-made. Like, broken-straight-from-the-box issues. Can anyone who owns this set tell me if that’s true? Are they THAT fragile? Because any Frank at my house will be run roughshod. I don’t want to have to be buying multiple sets because he and the tractors keep falling apart. (If so, I’ll wait for the Mattel version.)
I’ve got the original Frank from DS, and while it is nice, I doubt it wil stand up to a dedicated kid. The whirling blade assembly on the grain head is very thin and fragile …
We have several brown and white DS tractors and all have broken mirrors and/or smokestacks. My boys try to be gentle with them too.
I got this set last year, but good to see it has returned for those that still want it.
Mater’s still too brown, green hubs on tractors, and a white one? What gives? And those eyes — Marty Feldman meets Cars …
