Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Holley with Screen New Variant
The “new” Holley with Screen is an interesting and surprising variant.
Thanks for the great pics, “John H.”
Unlike last years’s (first release) of Holley with Screen which featured her viewing the video of Mile’s engine bay …
Interesting update that it shows ANOTHER screen scene …
At Porto Corsa viewing Grem with camera.
Here’s the scene from CARS 2.
Nice!
The eye position is slightly different.
An interesting variant.
It’s nice that it’s not just a 100% re-release and going the path to extra work – it takes extra effort to attach a new screen (requiring new approvals from Disney-Pixar) so it was not necessary other than some designer decided to do a second version/variant so nice!
Thanks for all the great pics, “John H!”
I would like to see new releases ! I would like to see a picture breakdown of case F & N & well what ever cases have been released or can the average Joe buy the new cases? I have been working on the types of card backs WOC’s & Disney Pixar front and 2014 Backs.
Nice that they changed it up, but not nice enough for me to have to buy another Holley w/ screen.
Nicely done, except the screen image is reversed/backwards from the one shown in the film … but oh well.
At least she’s not viewing Guido’s “Equipo El Rayo McQueen” sign.
Its right. Its facing the correct way on the side Holly looks at.
The screen capture shot from the film is right above the toy image – the image on the toy is reversed from the film image.
Looks neat! I saw and bought this one when I was in Canada. I’m very pleased on this die-cast.
Very cool that they also changed her expression to match the way she looked in the movie. When she was trying to find out who the Mystery Engine was, she looked deep in thought and when she saw Grem and Acer with the camera, she had that same worried expression that her diecast does.
Mattel’s Allinol Blowout theme is well thought out. All the cars in this segment of Cars 2 are excellent.
Both this and Paris Tour get my vote for best theme of 2014.
Not sure where:
4. Shawn Krash 2 pack with
5. Sal Machiani
and
9. Jonathan Shiftko Lt. Blue Audi
fit in for this theme?
Holley’s surprised expression of dismay at what she was seeing on the screen, kudos of well done to the Mattel design team.
the blue audi was one of the cars that ran over the allinol sign after the racers crashed.
Jonathan Shiftko is actually a light silvery blue, he was available “back door” several months ago already.
