Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Walmart CARS with Stickers + Poster
Some of the mystery of the CARS diecast with stickers is finally being resolved.
“sk8r4jesus316” sends along what the official “sidekick” display with slots for posters is supposed to look like.
This display contains other “re-releases” along with the 6 CARS with stickers (see this post for the 6 CARS list and some close up photos).
The poster is quite large – it’s about 24″ by 13″ unfolded (blank on the back).
As you can see from the display above, either someone took them all or they did not put them out.
It seems likely this a one-shot deal as the poster only features 6 CARS from this display.
There might be another display with another poster coming but that’s unknown as of now.

Happen to be at our local Wally World when they were putting out one of these “CARS” side-kick displays.
I saw the box opened and the display pulled-out of the box.
NO posters were included in the box or with the display?!?
What the #*@! – what is the point of the display without posters?
The assortment had several of each of the “six” with stickers but, NO Todd Pizza Planet, NO Denise Beam, NO Hugo w/ Party Hat, and NO “chase” pieces either?
NOTHING special and NOTHING worth buying!
More useless “pegwarmers” that no one wants and that the store will be stuck with!!!
At least you found Todd and the rest of that case, the sidekicks here had case w and case a. I did manage to find the radiator springs 500 cars today though.
You’d think Mattel would precede a special “collectors” release with a press release to the collectors community.
This display came and went here in Topeka about 6 weeks ago. They restocked the posters once and then it all disappeared about 2 weeks ago. My son and I managed to get two posters. I couldn’t bring myself to buy cars I already had just for the stickers but they are kinda cool.

@ kfalcon77: This is a new sidekick that I found 2 days ago at wm and this time, instead of having Geartrude mixed in with the poster sticker cars there was Denise Beam, Alexander Hugo with Party Hat and Pizza Planet Todd (just one of each)! So I guess the last one was a C case sidekick and this time it’s got the D case cars mixed in with the same 6 Poster Sticker cars. Happy hunting everyone!
