Thanks for the great photos, “Mack_Me_Bucko.”
No official timetable on the release of these but since they are being produced, we can probably presume they’ll be out in the Fall.
anyone know if Shifty is the same sculpt as Cruz Besouro? (with a cut off rear engine area)
-John
It isn’t the same sculpt. Shifty is slightly larger than Cruz, and the two models appear to be different model years based on the style of ‘stamped’ sheet metal parts like the hoods, etc.
thanks Mack, I see that now, there are differences, I was never able to get a Cruz so I couldn’t compare first hand, but in some pics I found I see differences in them now. I love these new RS500 1/2’s they look great in person. Blue Grit is a heavy one too. Sandy and Shifty are my 2 new favs though
Found these at Walmart in North Carolina tonight..All but Mater.

Think do you dipper come out Next week ?
When coming out 2 wave planes 2?
For the peanut gallery: You’ll notice that off-road Lightning has a fuel filler on his right side — in addition to one on his normal left side. It’s not just a decal or artwork error, there is a round depression in the sculpt as well. Did they mirror-image the digital data when they made the new sculpt for the body, or what?
Which is why I want to re-watch the video, to see if LMQ does have two fuel fillers in the short — but I cannot find it now on the video site through any number of searches.
Never mind, I found a short clip on Youtube — and off-road LMQ _does_ have a right side fuel filler cap in the short after having been modified by Guido and Luigi.
