The Radiator Springs 500½ short is out (only viewable online or on your IOS device). The short features 4 off-road racers who come to town and challenge Lightning McQueen.

There is a off-road Mater diecast also but it’s weird as the short does not actually feature an off-road Mater.

Cars collectors and fans…was just at the Toys r Us in Newport News where Radiator Springs 5001/2 cars were on the shelve. Attempted to buy 5 of 6 available. NO Off-Road Mater was available. Was not allowed to buy them..\ When cashier scanned the package, it said item not available till 8/1/2014. So, I was turned away. But they put the items on hold for me. Anyone else experiencing this??
(MET: Interesting. I guess they are embargoed … actual enforcement varies from place to place …)
Found at Walmart in North Carolina tonight, all but Mater
Just noticed the Ramone from this short has started appearing on eBay. Wonderful to see it won’t just be a few Cars that are produced in this series!

I just got several in the mail, back door. Hard plastic tires, elongated axle slots for up/down rocking motion, and very nicely detailed with cool artwork. A winner!
Dag gum, now I need to see the short! Rubber tires PLEASE!!!

Sally with the wheel well covers, she does look nice. Red with the hose reel, Fillmore and the jugs, Mater and his cocarnuts … I’d buy them all.
Hopefully “off road Mater” will be the version we see of him done up as Stanley. Way cool!
I can’t help but feel that these will cost more, thanks to the giant bubbles.
I’m sure they will be sold at the “Toon” Deluxe price point.
Looks like mattel should have no problem producing the Easter buggy now, it’s all basically there. Wishful thinking right
Even if Mattel doesn’t follow through, it would be easy enough to add a cotton fluff tail and ears to this dune buggy.
I am definitely looking forward to these…
The short was ok. I’m hoping they do the main crew how they have them in the short. Wouldn’t mind a Stanley Mater either. Hint hint Mattel.

I wonder if these help segue to “Cars 3”?
I hate to be the lone voice of dissent, but these don’t do much for me. Not sure as to the reason for that. I haven’t watched the short yet.
