Disney Planes Fire & Rescue: Deluxe Aircraft on the Shipping Pad
The Disney Store has made their Deluxe Planes/Vehicles available to order & ship.
The Mattel Deluxe are nice and larger than ever (though not out yet). And I’m presuming the dimensions in the listing on the Disney Store site is a mistake since these are $19.95.
These are presumably bulkier than the Mattel but not much longer (the Disney Store listings says these are 2½” wide, clearly from the in-box photo, they are not – maybe it’s supposed to be 12½” wide?
In addition to the presumed size difference, the Mattel Deluxe has a hook that drops down but it seems it only 1 open door versus the Disney Store ones which has two opening doors. We can also presume the Disney Store will have a lot of metal.
It’ll be interesting to see how metal this one is. The wheels roll in case you’re wondering. This is not on Mattel’s list and even if it was, it would probably be a plastic so this might be the only release of Muir.
This is another interesting one to compare. The container underneath is probably plastic but it might be metal also?
So, they are probably larger, a better scale and almost certainly a lot more metal than the Mattel ones but unlike with PLANES, the Mattel Deluxe for PLANES Fire & Rescue are a lot nicer and larger so … the final verdict is still out but the Disney Stores would like to shout COLLECT THEM ALL! 🙂
The other Disney store singles are HERE.
Or you can check out all the Disney Store offerings here.
Thanks for the heads up, “ToyFountain” and “John H.”
Muir is a disappoiment, or rather the train cars are. No wonder Disney Store did not bother to model them. Considering the detail found in the rest of the movie, the passenger coaches looks like they were done for Saturday morning cartons.
Cool !!!!!
I would want Muir had they included a tender.
Met, their site indicates that Blade Ranger is 2 1/2 inches wide (10 inches with the blades).
