Disney Pixar CARS: Disney Store Police Lightning Chaser
It looks like the Disney Store diecasts have switched to the paper & plastic (not acrylic) mini carrying case format.

The new Police Lightning has color lights and metallic paint.
The monochrome matte version was the previous release.
And if CHASE’s are CHASERS, does that mean there is giant version in a bucket shape we drop these into and someone yells BOILERMAKER!

I managed to snag this one about a week ago from the DisneyStore website. I dropped in to browse one evening and caught the closing moments of a “Free Shipping” offer. It is a nice release, and nice photos, too, Infiniti McQueen. The earlier release in the new carton, Vitaly Petrov, is also a “Chaser”.
Segue: (There actually isn’t one)
On the other hand, Sacramento got a little (very little) relief from the California drought the other day; an on and off day long rain produced .16 inches (that’s sixteen HUNDREDTHS of an inch) of precipitation. That was the first since early December. It’s also more than the number of new Cars diecasts I have seen at either WalMart or Target during the same period.
