Disney Stores: Mega Giant Hector Vector + 25% Sale Through 11/11
The other Disney Store Hector Vector seems to be a good size – about 10″ – diecast metal with working doors and working visor!
Disney Store Hector Vector (first release)
But the Disney Store has now released a new MEGA Hector Vector – still all diecast metal with dual working doors! Working Visor and Blades whirling sound! Cool! And about 20″ long!
UPDATE – Thanks for the heads up “BMW & Quercy” – Hector is NOT actual diecast metal – I was fooled by the words “diecast transporter” which might not be legally incorrect but it is misleading – after all, nearly anything is a diecast transporter – a bucket, a towel and you little brother diaper all work as diecast transporters … but it’s still nice, it’s just not 15-lb diecast metal nice.
The NEW giant Sounds & Effects Hector Vector.
Includes exclusive metallic Dusty. Dusty is diecast.
In the movie, Hector lifts Dusty from the water but does not lift him up into his hold – and the movie does not seem to show Hector parked next to anything. Maybe next week when the Blu-Ray DVD comes out, we can reconfirm. You could argue that since a normal rescue helicopter can lift people and fit them in a door a CARS/PLANES World rescue chopper should be able to fit in a PLANE/CAR.
Plus Sound EFX! The description also alludes to three in the series so maybe we will get a MEGA Echo and BRAVO. (they are also available in the 10″ series at the Disney Store).
Starting today and through November 11, 2013 – the Disney Store is having a 25% off sale! Online, use the coupon code DISNEYPAL (also free shipping at $75).
If you want to try your luck in stores, bring this coupon link or print it for in-store use.
All toys except for Disney Infinity are on sale including CARS …
The CARS 16 Pack Diecast Gift Set
The “Surfin’ Safari” John Lassetire Chase (in an acrylic box) (Chick Chief only available in the UK as of now.
Thanks for the nice photos of Hector, “John H.”
At least they’ve partially hidden his Zombie Eyes.
No they will not price adjust prior purchases It is noted on the coupon, you would need to re-buy and make a return on your prior purchase.
dang it, thanks for the info, I’m surprised they make it so hard.
It’s the not-so-magical-day at that store when you want a price adjustment then haha -John
Exactly right. That was what the lady told me at the Disney Store on Tuesday. she said return and rebuy with the coupon.
I actually bought the light up tuners set 2 days ago, do you guys think I can bring the coupon in and get a price adjustment? Anyone do this before with the Disney Store? It was kind of expensive, ($60.00) but it’s very cool. -John
The giant Hector Vector is plastic. Not metal. Saw it two days ago at the Disney Store.
It says “diecast transporter” Hector itself is not…. Many will be upset upon reception….
In fact on the box it says in french “COFFRET DE TRANSPORT POUR JOUETS DE METAL INJECTÉ” which is translated as following “TRANSPORTING CASKET FOR INJECTED METAL TOYS” or something very close to this… As you can see the keyword is “FOR” 🙂
“Casket” sounds so foreboding !
My VERY limited knowledge of French came up with the following translation:
Carrying case for toys diecast metal
The question may be, “Where’s the metal?; the carrying case itself, or the toy(s) inside?”
What/where is the allusion to 3 in the series? Packaging graphics (like with B&E) is different in UK.
Really hoping they make a Dwight D. Flysenhower (better than Mattel’s “Yorkie”) aircraft carrier, just like the Combat Ship.

the description is wrong. they copied the description for the smaller die cast hector and added the part about limited dusty included.
