Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast 2014: Neon Tuner CARS Series
The listing offers no real details except just enough …
CARS Neon.
1:55 Diecast.
They have their own product code and not part of the mainline singles series.
No listing for the singles assortment but there is a playset and also a 4-pack … humm, I think I can name 4 neon glow in the dark CARS that would be a 4-pack people would want.
Perhaps they even read this post from last year. 🙂
While we did get the Tuners with Flames this year, keep in mind these characters don’t just shoot flames but glow in the dark also.
Any other glow in the dark/neon CARS? From Tokyo Mater? Komodo?
So, presumably they simply have glow stripes/paint versus actual light-up & glow (hard to fit it in 1:55 diecasts but doable at not much more in cost) since there’s a track playset, it’s probably just glow in the dark but still cool.
More details as they come in – probably not until Fall 2014.
The Disney Stores had the light-up undercarriage but not the neon/glow in the dark … (at 1:43 scale).
More Disney store lights-ups here and here.
Maybe Fall or Holiday 2014?

I think it is going to end up being a series sort of like the metallic deco cars, but instead it will be neon deco. I doubt its going to be what anyone is expecting.
There’s a glow in the dark Lightning on eBay occasionally.
There was a plastic (i’m pretty sure) version that came with a Cars magazine.
I have a feeling they will end up looking like the Disney store cars which are still cool looking.
DJ looks extra big in that picture.
Lights and Sounds please! Please. DJ playing pretty music. Wingo and DJ saying their movie lines. Snot Rod sneezing.
Hallmark cards sing, with that little chip. Mattel had that Barbie. They have the technology.
box set, it would sell. Glow in the dark, light up flames, sounds.
I hope that Mattel does it right, and not half way.
YES! YES! YES!
I hope they’re really diecast metal, and not some goofy Tyco-like track cars.
