Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Gold Metallic Rip Clutchgoneski – The Series Returns?
There have been some mysterious Gold Metallic Rip Clutchgoneski’s pop up around the world on different auction sites …
(the space between the front wheel covering and the air dam indicates it’s a Mattel mold and not a Disney store Gold Rip – plus the DS one has yellow wheel rims).
While we are expecting a silver metallic one for Kmart CARS Day in October, what is this one from? Most likely the return of the TRU Color Metallic series? It a series that Mattel and TRU must love – slap on a few dabs of metallic paint, raise the price 125%. Mattel makes an extra buck and TRU makes an extra $2 per. 🙂
This series was left in the lurch. While we got metallic Lightning, Francesco, Jeff Gorvette, and Nigel Gearsley at TRU (and the metallic Hudson Hornet Piston Cup Lightning McQueen from the book) AND while, Raoul made it to Europe and Canada … we haven’t gotten the remaining WGP racers yet …
Does Metallic Gold Rip Clutchgoneski floating around out the back door mean the Color Metallic will return to TRU?

In addition to finishing what they started with the race teams, I would also like team crew sets and teams sets from Cars 2 and for them to finish up the launcher from Cars 2. Hello, there are not a ton of racers in Cars 2, it would not be hard.
Like many of you, I’d like to see Mattel finish more of what they start:
Metallic WGP racers
Piston Cup Pit Row Race-off launchers
Team Crew Sets (crew chief and pittys)
Team Sets (hauler/racer/pitty)
Haulers
Mini Adventures Piston Cup Racers and haulers
And release them in such a manner that we can buy them.
