I’m not sure they’ve ever had names – I think they’ve always just been called the Convoy Brothers so we’ll just call them by the letters on their face.
You do an I to spell TEAM.
The tongues and teeth on all the 4 are diecast metal. They are part of the mold and painted.
The flags are not removeable. Exception – 2 Year old kids. K & N have small plastic bumpers. Faceplate – diecast metal. K’s crown is plastic. He is not the King.
Convoy Brother “I” & “G” have METAL front and back bumpers – they are part of the same metal diecast body – just painted.
Convoy Bro “N” Front & back bumper plastic, same with roof air vents and the back extra tire cover. Faceplate – diecast metal.
Convoy “G” raised AC vents are plastic but the mock “skylights,” (the 4 on the outside) are diecast metal and part of the one-piece unibody mold.
I’m presuming the front piece on Convoy Bro “G’s” face (and Convoy I) is a giant tampo decal but when you get yours, if it’s EXACTLY the same, then it’s obviously a decal but if there are variations, then it’s not.
There are also nice dirt splotches along the wheel rims.

Hey, so, one of the eBay pre-sale sellers on this set is totally using a pic from this website but has sloppily covered the take5 watermark with one of their own. I hate to see that kind of copyright infringement. Met, maybe you should put the fear into them or something.
I’m looking forward to seeing how many negative feedbacks these pre-sellers get when they can’t deliver the goods.
I of course would have loved a set, but like years mater one ill just have to wait to find one on amazon or Marty someday.
I don’t do eBay, and I didn’t remember to order.

ok, I have to come out of retirement and comment on this one. These are sweet. I hope these come out on the Matty site. As someone who collected only Cars 1 (and we have a pretty deep collection) I’m going to have to get my hands on this set. Also MET I do peek in from time to time and I think you guys are doing a great job with the site.
If Nascarfan or anyone else will be getting or know how one can get this Dinoco set can someone add me to a list that is jonesing big time for these, Id be your Mater to your Lightning McQueen forever. 🙂

I never had a problem with it until this morning when I had an explosion of about 30-40 emails asking for extras. This pushes others down the list. If these were 19.99, 29.99 or 49.99 I don’t think this would be an issue with daily spending limits on Paypal.
But when I see and get BC copied on emails what my helping others get “their own items” are being sold for and a “I should have gotten it from you in the first place”….
what would you do?
let me be further crystal clear. I do not have a problem with those on this site and CTT or other Disney – Pixar sites ebaying these sets.

I get the ebay thing about making money. I get it about charging more.
MOST of these people have always helped on SDCC buyers lists in the past when possible and I have helped them if they needed it at SDCC’s in the past when I can.
I want no disrespect to go towards these people, nor for me.
We just do things differently. Charge things differently.
Heck, I even ebay stuff that are “overs”.. BUT only after a week, two weeks after the event(s) to be sure there is nothing missing, broken in shipping etc.
I agree. Kevin has every right to set any limit he wants. No one needs more than two sets, maybe three, period. One to open, one to save, the third to give away as a gift? But to ask for more? Six sets? Seven? I’m thinking that anyone with that kind of coin to drop on the Convoy Brothers is running a business on the side and should be busting their own back at d23 to get them. But that’s just me. It seems like people will take advantage of any opportunity afforded to them and I don’t like to see it.
Met, Have you ever disclosed HOW you were able to acquire these? Or would you have to kill us all? Please share. 😕
