Mattel can thank themselves for that, or thank Francesco and Finn… and Zen Master.
Maybe Mattel just doesn’t care. There was a piece on NPR the other day about Monster High, Mattel is just so proud of themselves for that product line that I guess they suppose they are made of awesome.

Happening at Target… happening at Walmart… happening at Meijer… happening at Kohl’s… already happened at Kmart… happened at Toys R US.

Not the kind of consistency collectors want to see.

My Target is terrible. There’s one set of four pegs going up and down for singles, one set for two-packs, one set for deluxes, and one set for Planes, and one set for the Stunt Racers, and one for the Micro Drifters, I’m pretty sure.

  • Pontiac Michigan says:

My local Target actually increased the Cars/Planes peggings,
and replaced the center display where Superman was with all
Planes singles and box sets. In fact I came across a lone “Bravo”
    single.
Another chain, Meijer Stores are late to the display market, but
again, another large endcap was setup with the price/peg markers…
    but no product yet.

Many of the Targets which I have visited recently have had the pegs reduced due to adding Planes in the same space. We’ll see what happens after the summer reset in a couple of weeks.

  • RodredlineM19 says:

The only difference at my closest Target is simply one peg gone of singles, which is where the Planes are.

  • John in Missouri says:

Well of course they’re shrinking– no one ever cleared out the Porto Corsa singles. That Target is (was) just a Picker’s Paradise.

  • Mountain Mater says:

Yesterday’s bird cage liner. The Age of the Aftermarket is on the horizon!
