With all due respect to the people who are shocked and appalled by this particular post, I think you’re forgetting this is a blog. So, whatever the person who writes the blog thinks is appropriate for the blog, that’s what the person gets to publish on their blog. It’s called having a blog.
If your children seen Cars 2, they’ve seen worse and more prolonged violence. And if you let your kids use the web without your direct supervision, this is an example of what they might see. It’s a blog. Not Sesame Street. Oh wait, didn’t something inappropriate appear on that once too? Something about a guy in the control room watching a little something of his own and then hitting the wrong button? I guess the best thing to do is give your kids only books to read. (But hide the grown-up books and magazines you read, those might have curse words in them or some other questionable content.)
Sorry, but I kept my mouth shut as long as I could stand it. Really?!
MoMcQueen nailed it. Actions and consequences. Sowing and reaping, although those seeds germinated really quickly! Must be the Columbian climate. It’s a blog. Turn the page.
Well, considering my user name is a play on words to also read MOM C Queen, it might be weird if I didn’t.
I’ve got three children, ages one to 13. All have watched Cars 2. Personally, I find the violence in it to be somewhat senseless. This post, at least to me, demonstrates the point the author is making: if you do bad things to people, bad things will happen to you in return.
What I’m trying to say here is that Take Five — which we all treat as a community meeting place — is really someone’s blog. Without what he/she (I’m assuming it’s a gentleman) chooses to write, we’d have nothing to read or discuss. So, please, give him a break. It’s his site. He can write about what he likes and should be allowed to do so without fear of recrimination. We’re guests at the table. Nothing more. It’s rude to complain about what we’re being served. At least, that’s my opinion.
You are right it is a blog about Disney Cars (look a happy Mater icon on every page) … the site owner could put whatever he wants but this post was a very poor choice. What next a porn post and many of you would be fine with that? how about some executions? decapitations? heck it is the internet he can post what he wants… free speech right?
Actually, you watch the entire video, there was some good “Carsma” here.
She could have left him under the bus, instead, she assisted rescuers in pulling out from under it. A stupid, but fortunate (to be alive), crook.
Bunch of chicken **** lame people didn’t even try to help…That one got exactly what was coming to him. Steal, and your life gets stolen. I hope to jerk died.

yikes… I agree take this off! My son likes this site for CARS news… not crap like this!!!!! I only came hear to read about Francesco Fan Mater. WTF?
Ouch.
I think it’s far worse for childrens’ eyes when Take5 posts stories about offerings from the Disney Store.

Just pure justice to me.

Agreed… Not TFAD material.
