Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2: Andre the Not So Giant Transporter

The latest “Stunt Racer,” transporter is out – Andre, Raoul Caroule’s race hauler transporter.

Thanks for the great pics, “John H!”Andre back

It is nice that it seems to work with your Raoul diecast.Raoul-CaRoule-team

And parked, it looks like a nice accompaniment/accessory.

But I find the lack of details disturbing …Andre-rear

I’m still leaning towards not counting it as canon – what are your thought? Along with the fact they are not diecast – I would argue that we did not see these in pit row also …

Though again, nice accessory and great photos, thanks, “John H.”

“RodredlineM19” notes that the diecast Raoul does work with this – shooting Raoul out about 3 feet – so that’s nice for kids … or that vase you’ve been trying to break “accidentally.” 🙂

But darn it, they have some cute little faces!

To get it strait, we are not getting this Hauler like the ones in Cars 1? So, they are all going to be PLASTIC now? And to add, here in Austria they cost 19,99€ which means 26,40 USD???? NO WAY …

We know that some stars have planets not because we can see the planets, but because we can see the wobble in that star’s orbit that can only be explained by the presence of those unseen planets.

If you look at some of the huge pit crews in the Tokyo and Porto Corsa race scenes in Cars 2, there has to be some sort of unseen transport vehicle(s) hauling the teams and their equipment from venue to venue. (My kids counted over 20 pitties in Francesco’s pit in one scene!)

Further, Mattel is not a creative company. It seems highly unlikely that they were given the 3D computer model of Karl Haulzemoff by Pixar and on their own decided to adapt that vehicle as a race team hauler. It seems far more likely that these race team trucks were in the movie at one point and ended up on the cutting room floor between the time the data went to Mattel and the final edit was created.

I agree, bringing the haulers out in this dud of a line almost insures that we will never see all 13 team trucks plus Karl. Even as diecasts what are the chances they would have produced them all?

But in our house they are getting a lot of play as accessories to the die cast race cars just as the Piston Cup haulers did, and we will ‘collect them all’ if Mattel will produce them.

Just don’t try and force us to buy a stunt racer car to get them!

I opened the case of these……. And threw them right back on the pallet. Plastic garbage with stickers no thank you! My son will then want Nigel’s, rips, Miguel’s etc. etc. that Mattel will never make and then he will undoubtedly remove the stickers, the only one I would ever even consider would be victors which I was hoping for but now that these are out a diecast version of that will never be.

I have always expressed my disdain for the size and scale of the Cars 1 Haulers, but after seeing these things in person, I’ll take the Haulers any day!

I would agree that if it did not appear in the movie then it cannot be considered part of canon. This would apply no matter how nicely they are made.
