Regarding Cars singles, (and these numbers are TOTAL inventory on the pegs), our local WalMart has 37 Francescos. Our local KMart has 11 Lightning McQueens. Our local Target has nothing at all with no pegs even devoted to singles and, reportedly, no more singles due before January 1. TRU has merely about half a dozen of their “exclusives” and a few McQueens. Kohl’s has about 10 McQueens and appears to have just about quit handling the line altogether.
This is collectively (and individually) a far cry from years past when we had Christmas exclusives and an assortment of new cars, some of which were easy to find and a few others which were “Chase” or “Final Lap” cars, but not impossible to find.
I’m not sure whether to blame Mattel or the individual stores, but, perhaps there’s enough blame to go around.
Looks like the old guy got fired for not reporting people of T5 were complaining of Mattel’s distribution….looks like someone else just got hired, just need more people for even better distribution. HEY MATTEL! Since you are reading, i just wanted to let you know ahead of time to pull the plug on Turboslugs…they will be turbo slow like a slug,and end like speed racer did a couple years back. Also, if you ever bring back, you know who… starts with an f, ends with an n… ENOUGH SAID.;)
Does this mean Mattel is listening and we are going to see changes?!?
