CASE P is back up at Children’s Toy Closet but it’s now just a trickle so if you’re going to pull the trigger for the case, now might be the time … keep in mind also that we are fairly certain that the two Super Chases only number about 2,000, that has definitely pushed up the price of the 2 Super Chases on the secondary market and so the interest in this case has zoomed up even more. Got my case yesterday. This has got to be the best case ever and the easiest to obtain all these cool cars in my hand at one time. 2 Super Chases and a bunch of chases. Plus I never find anything in local stores other than the original shipments anymore so even the non-Chases cost me more than normal. $100 as opposed to probably $300/$400 after buying each off ebay. Can’t beat that!!!!! After Christmas this also puts my son over the 1000 unique cars mark including Disney Store Cars. I am jealous and he is spoiled. LOL.

I just got my shipment notice from CTC but looking at the eBay prices has me in a quandary. Do I keep the 2 super chases that my 5 year old would have no real notion of the value or do I sell them and essentially pay for the case. He’s going to get 7 new cars from that case, so they will likely just get lost in the shuffle but as a Dad having those 2 will be pretty cool.
(MET: The good news is there is almost zero chance prices will go down in the next 6 months (as for a higher price increase, that’s another matter) … so maybe you want to put them high on a shelf for a few months and then decide – you have the luxury of time … it is a teachable moment – how supply and demand means one Super Chase can be traded for 15 regular releases (or more) OR the price of jumping up and down for joy plus going vroom vroom and driving along the wall to annoy mom and dad is worth a million dollars. 🙂 Good luck!).
I just found a seller on E-bay the was selling case P for $110 plus shipping. So I bought 5 cases. They had 20 cases total for sale
saw that listing earlier today, its a Mattel dealer out of California.
probably sold out by now with people buying 3 to 5 cases each.
I managed to sneak in with the $115 price and the $20 discount. Glad I pulled the trigger now, but kinda wish I’d bought more. It’s going to be a blast watching my son rip in to the super chases! I’ll try to grab some pics.
I think $175 for this case is still a fair price. I wouldn’t be happy about paying it, but imagine trying to buy the cars you want out of this case on eBay 6 months from now.

This case has actually sold for over $225 on eBay already. Just saying.
$175 per case/24 cars = $7.29 per car. Some stores want that for a McQueen!
The case was $115, and someone can always sell off whatever they don’t want. Probably going to recoup $100 with the 2 super chases as it is. I believe Fabrizio & Gassup are going for about $40 each.
that price is wrather high. Double the price of the case kind of sucks.

I only wanted the 7 new, was going to sell the super chases missed my chance at 98 a case and now at 175 I’m not Interested….:(
