Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: How Many Finn’s Should I Put You Down Fer? 400,000?
It won’t cost you very much – you can get full cases of Finn McMissile, well about 16,800 cases are all that’s left.*
What a deal – only $23.52 a case and if you want more, I’m sure they’ll work out a deal … BTW, when a consolidator-liquidator sells something for $.98, you can be sure they paid about $.50 for it so they have room to negotiate if you want to buy a giant lot. Raise your hand if you want a couple thousand?
There are also about 17,000 full cases of CARS 2 Lightning McQueen, Race Team Mater’s and Francesco. Step right up!
*Here’s the scary thing – these @35,000 cases (@840,000 diecasts) are what’s been pulled from the shelves – and we know what’s still left ON THE SHELVES – just how many Finn McMissiles were made?
Matel should send all those Finns to Cuba, Haiti or Africa! So many children in need of toys!
I will gladly MELT 100 finn to make 1 tokyo mater.
They could always paint these red, compact them, and pass them off as Super Ultimate Chase Compacted Leland Turbo’s.
Too bad these weren’t all lemons, because having an army of Finn’s just isn’t the same. They should take half of all these to DisneyWorld and make a ginormo Finn, then take the other half to DisneyLand…too bad they wouldn’t have room for them….maybe we could turn these into fuel for our 1:1 scale Finn’s so we wouldn’t waste them so much. If they would all have been unibody’s to begin with, and not in any multi-packs, these would have had a little bit easier to sell…but of coarse you all already know this stuff…if they take all the Finns and take them to the internet and places like 5 below, everyone would be happy…except the internet, and 5 below..Ha!
I think the item code should be “WTF”
Why can’t they do this with Long Ge?
Now to find a good deal on some blue metallic paint.
It’s like someone on the production line fell asleep while Finn’s were rolling off the line…. for about a month.
He was in a Cars Coma
Interesting that with an unlimited supply of Finn McMissiles already produced, Mattel went ahead and produced new tooling for one-piece Finns.
Maybe it’s time Mattel donate to Toys for Tots this holiday season… But I bet, boys and girls alike will be bummed…
Seriously! If someone didn’t lose there job over this then I am amazed! Surely recycling them would be a better idea, were such a wastefull society.
Since Finn has been found on every continent (except Antartica) in massive numbers, my guess for how many Finns were made:
450,779,246. (rounded)
Circumference of the Earth in inches: 1,577,727,360 inches / 3.5 inches per Finn.
Another guess from a family member is enough Finns to supply the earth until the Sun quits shining. 🙁
I was told these were sold for $.35 cents per car, so selling them at 98 cents each..the consolidators will make a big profit.
Not if no one buys any.
Since Finn didn’t sell for 99 cents at Target or Kmart or $1.00 at Meijer the first week of April, they aren’t going to sell to $0.98 plus shipping.
And to answer the question how many Finn McMissile were made, the answer is “Too many”
I think the 5 Below I went into the other day bought one of these cases. All Finns on the 4 pegs reserved for Cars.
