As noted, the case pre-sales for Kmart CARS Day #9 went on sale about a month earlier than anticipated/expected/pre-molting season via our link.

The Kmart marketing guy chimed in that it’s really for the remainder of Kmart CARS Day #8.

I know you might find it hard to believe but based on the previous 7 Kmart Days*, I am not going out on a limb in saying and telling you the Marketing Department, the eCommerce Department and the Shipping Department of Kmart/Sears do not actually communicate with each other and either have their own agenda, succession plan, or no plan at all and make it up as they go along.

I KNOW – hard to believe, huh?

Those who have been with all along will find it easy to believe. If you’re a baby and you fell off the turnip sandwich truck yesterday, well, listen to your elders who can read, write and surf the web unlike you, a small 2-day baby. Neener, neener, neener.

*Day #1 doesn’t count as we pretty much only knew the event was happening when they put up the signs – no presales.

In other words, the Marketing guy honestly believes what he is saying or was told by eCommerce or Shipping but it may not be the truth, it may not be the actual truth, it may not be the whole truth or it might be a bag of fertilizer express shipped.

First, as Eli D. notes, he tried to buy CASE #8 but was told it was out of stock but left it in his cart – and when he returned to his cart the last few days, discovered it was changed to a PRE-ORDER.

Just as those who placed an order, it says PRE-ORDER and will ship on October 20th to the 23rd.

AND as each day passes, and WITHOUT a shipping confirmation until mid-October, it grows more likely it is a REAL PRE-ORDER.

If the warehouse had anything remotely close (Kmart CARS #8 or even Kmart CARS #7 cases), they would ship it because once they ship it, their responsibility ends.

Of course, that is only the first test.

Will those who pre pre-ordered a few days ago (is it still working?) – will they actually get shipped? Will the pre pre-orders get canceled?

It’s Kmart CARS Day – anything is possible.

Will there be a “second” pre-order period in 3 weeks? Probably?

Will those pre-orders get canceled along with the pre pre-orders?

It’s certainly possible.

All things are possible except when they are not, or possibly not impossible.

So, to recap. The current pre pre-orders seem solid for Kmart CARS Day #9 as they are listed for shipping on October 20th-23rd and there is no shipping confirmation yet.

The rest is wait and see.

Because the rest of the possibilities are practically limitless:

they could ship them out early (as it’s happened before).

they could cancel them (as it’s happened before).

they could still ship out the wrong case (as it’s happened before).

they could have a second pre-order period (as it’s happened before).

they could cancel the first pre-order and/or cancel the second pre-order (as it’s happened before).

It’d never dull.
