Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Crew Chief Update
Based on what’s scheduled, we should expect 4 Crew Chiefs available before December:
2-pack Movie Moments of …
Max & Otto Bonn.
Petro Cartalina & Miguel.
The other two crew chiefs will only be available in Target only 4-packs …
Nigel’s Crew Chief (Austin Littleton) with Nigel, Francesco & Lightning.
Raoul’s Crew Chief (Bruno Motoreau) with Lewis, Raoul & Jeff Gorvette.
The crew chiefs of Rip, Shu & Lewis Hamilton might be out by year’s end but right now, they are not listed and there seems to be no indication of a release.

I would like to get them but I can’t find them in stores because of all the trash that plagues the shelves & pegs 🙁 I have yet to find Fillmore with Headphones, Cruz, John, & Guiseppe on the pegs. I really hope distribution improves soon. I’m pretty sure it will… here is to hope.
(MET: The first wave of 2-packs are KM only … so you may need help from fellow T5ers as it’s either on the shelf now or not likely to appear again).
I am hopping to get both 2-packs and both 4-packs.
Mattel is so greedy, that they will try to get us to buy the same cars over and over,for more money. Then having extra cars don’t really do any good just sitting there…Like i’ll gladly buy cars-just not the same ones. SO really, there losing money in the end because they overstock on common ones and tons go on clearance and not all of them ever get sold! Crazy! No matter what, you have to rebuy a car to get any crew chief! Although, we all already know all this, so yep.
My boy was just asking about Raoul’s chief today. Looking forward to seeing these.
Glad to see 2 more crew chiefs in 2 packs… paying for one repeat, the racer, is not as painful as paying for 3 Cars that I already have…
I would have liked to have seen racer/crew chief/pitty 3 packs or 4 packs (with 2 pittys) but it’s too late now.
Hopefully we get the last remaining crew chiefs… it would be great to complete the crew chiefs as well as the racers, assuming we see Rip soon, as the Rip launcher has been spotted in Greece as well as Australia.
These 4-packs are good for collectors who just started.

Anyway at least we know Rip is coming. Does anybody know the best place to find a Shu single, or should I wait until these are out? He’s the only racer I’m missing (excluding Rip).

I haven’t seen him single in stores, but it has been released.
I don’t want to go eBay because it seems every time I win something for $10 a week later I find it at retail…
The problem is my stores went from Case F (Hydraulic Ramone and Nigel) straight to Case J (Lewis and Carlo) so I missed Max, Shu and Miguel. I got Max and Miguel in 4-packs, and now I refuse to buy a 4-pack just so I can get one CAR that is already a single. My hopes are that when I get Case H in stores I’ll pick one up.
Cars 2 collecting is hell. End of story 🙂

Bruce Boxman looks as if he is a Bob Cutlass re-paint, These are real neat, and as theres not so many racers we might get ALL the crew chiefs! Although not in the UK……….sadly!
I guess Francesco is the new cowbell.
