The Disney Store has added new Mater Tall Tales and a Lightning McQueen box set.
Cars Toon Mater Private Eye Die Cast Set
Nice in black & white/monochrome – the “boss” is probably to scale with Mattel’s 1:55 series (as was the Disney Store Queen).
As of now, NONE of these are scheduled from Mattel – it’s likely we will get them but not even a listing or inkling yet.

Diecast cars in color? I guess it might catch on. 
Of course, Autonaut Mater & Lightning are out in the CARS Take Flight series – no listing for the Impala though … again, likely to be released but not listed in the CARS Take Flight listings – maybe if “single” sized Toons come back?

Ask the Disney store if they have any of the big Mia & Tia’s & Mcqueens,
the $150 set. I bought one yesterday for under $60 out the door, with the 25% off!
And why could they not put out the banana Chiquita Car from the private eye short?!?!?! And the Big pitty too!!??!

Do three of theMmcQueens look worried?!?!?! In the McQueen set, it looks like the exclusive “knows” that he is not a real Ransburg… Just another fake!!!
Hoping my DS gets these Thursday (their shipment day) for the first day of Friends and Family/25% off. (They were supposed to get them last week but some of their boxes didn’t show up.) I love the Impala XIII (car and pun) and might give the other two to my nephew. Want to see the Private Eye Mater set too…Big D might clinch it.
Really want to see them in person, though…I only collect DS cars I like. (I was so disappointed by their Pope and Popemobile even though they were to market months before Mattel’s.) Also, phooey on Disney for pulling a Mattel on us with that Mater set…I might want Ivan but I already have most of the rest of the set.
I will wait and catch the Mater-Rama set when it goes on clearance. This came just a little to late for me (and im sure for most others who buy disney store diecasts). My son has them all except Ivan Mater. 🙁
If only these would shrink in the oven on low heat.

I would like the Chrome Mcqueen to display with my D23 Chrome 1:18 scale Mcqueen. I am reading that the quality isn’t great on the chrome. anyone else have it that can give a review?
Mine came a couple days ago. The PI are my favorite personally. The Chrome isn’t bad looking from a distant, but if you do look close it isn’t like the 1:18 version which I have as well where it is like a mirror. Any blemishes in the metal under the paint are highlighted because of the glossy paint and there are a few fine paint bubbles and streaks kind of like when you use canned spray paint too close to what you are painting. So is it perfect, no, but as a display, not bad, but not great.

I think we are a similar type of collector and I think it is horrible. I was holding it in my hand and search several others and just had to pass.
I did pick up the mater 5 pack…it’s nice..they didn’t have the other 3 packs out yet. I’m saving my coupon for that!
