Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: The CARS 1 Toys R Us 10-Pack
CARS 1 CARS return to store shelves this holiday season – well, just Toys R Us store shelves – in additional to singles, this is the 10-pack. It does not have an actual name yet but presumably it will be something to effect of “The Speedway Race 10-Pack.”
If you’re a long time collector, you should have all these CARS but if you’re new to CARS/CARS 2, it’s a nice starter set.
My only note is that apparently the “real” Marlon Clutches McKay is involved in approving diecast releases because he is one of the few over-produced Final Lap CARS who also got a lenticular release. It figures the only peg warmer is back in the “Aftermath” Final Lap series … now available in the same number of series as Lizzie.

I have this 10 pack. the name of it is THE THREE-WAY TIE. that is a cool 10 gift pack. TRU exclusive and radiator spring classic too.
Ah, the 4 M case (Matthew, Marty, Matti and Marlon, of final Laps was indeed abundant as these hung on the pegs here for a long time. Good ole case H, still have the full case.Marlon McKay is back again? Mattel must have plenty of these leftover from the Final Lap days.
It does look like a good package for new collectors, but a townie package would fly off the shelves.
Finish line Mcqueen was never seen on UK shelves so I hope TRUs ship this to the UK, Marlon without lenty eyes would be nice too, I love these little reminders of the CARS glory days….I do wonder if Mattel keeps these cars back from the first run or start up another batch though.
Good for newer collectors but I will pass. I can get Finish Line McQueen in a three pack or loose, he’s the only one I need.
Let’s pray there aren’t any face variants or anything like that.
I can’t bring myself to open my 2 Finish Line McQueen 3 Packs (one the cars face the left, the other they face the right) so I may have to get this. I also only have a Lenticular Marlon. This is a very nice starter set for newer collectors. Way to go Mattel! 🙂

Nice set for newer collectors or people like us who only have lent versions of most of these guys.
Not a bad selection there, I’m just happy seeing classics coming to the stores again. I am concerned about the price though. These type sets have been expensive. Usually I try to wait for a sale.
This is definitely a nice set for people just getting into collecting… the only ones that I don’t have as many of them as I’d like are the Mia and Tia and Finish Line McQueen.
Hobby Lobby has already started putting out Christmas decorations… Is it the Cars holiday season yet? Or more importantly, when are we going to see the spring, er summer reset? Maybe for the back to school fall season?
We only have lenticular Bob, Tom, and Marlon. I think I will get this for my 2 year old so she has some Cars 1 cars of her own.
