Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Display Cases Prices Going Up
Children’s Toy Closet wants you to know that on August 7, 2012, the prices of the display cases from the manufacturer is going up in price 7-20% but you still have about a month to order at the current price.
These are cases specifically designed for Pixar CARS as they are a skoosh wider and longer than 1:64 scale diecasts.
There’s one for haulers and most mega/oversized … holds 21 haulers. There is a separate one just for oversized.
With haulers, you can also fit in the racers, crew chiefs and some Pitty’s … and of course, you can park some on top – though you have to dust those. 🙂
And there’s another specifically designed for Pixar CARS singles at an angle for best viewing … Holds at least 110 singles … you can easily fit a Luigi sized CAR with another similar sized one. And some narrower CARS will fit parked in front …
They are heavy gauge acrylic and sturdy. They come with pre-drilled holes in the back for hanging and has mini latches at the bottom if you look closely.
They also have a mirror back.
The Hauler one is also available without the mirror back.
So, if you’ve been on the fence about getting them, last chance to get them before the prices go up. Check them out at CTC!

I dont need a display case, I have enough room

I have 4 Carney Plastics display cases… 1 is the SA-100 which holds 110 singles… and the other 3 are the CP-21/24 which hold haulers, launchers, many of the Deluxe (Frank won’t fit) including Barry Diesel… My wife insisted on rearranging the Cars room last week so it would be more like a traditional family room – I told her I would not move my display cases that were mounted on the wall.
I also have 4 smaller plexiglass display cases which hold singles…
I may have to order another one before the price increase.
My wife got me two of the 110 single car cases last year for Christmas. Yes, my Christmas present were cases to hold my son’s cars. They look awesome and will keep the cars in great shape if you are an opener. I need to get one for our oversize cars and another 110 case for the rest of our singles sometime in the next year or two. I recommend them and if you are interested, I think I posted some pictures of our cases in my collection thread in the forum.
