Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: The Walmart Clearance (UPDATE)
At first, it looks like another WM $1.97 CARS 2 clearance …
But it seems to only apply to Finn, Francesco & Holley Shiftwell (Holley actually sells well and its unlikely there are many on the shelves to clearance out).
Turns out that all the Mattel 1:55 diecasts are on sale at $1.97 even though the signs are marked with specific CARS. Happy hunting!
(Remember, Rollback® is a registered trademark).
On the other hand, if you save a few bucks, you can upgrade from generic potato chips … though, there is something to be said for generic food, they only promise the bare minimum. 🙂

Wallmart is THE worst place place for Cars 2 diecast,I think everyone has at least 1 finn by now
We know this is the annual summer clearance for ALL toys before the restocking with new items for the fall/Christmas season. Nothing wrong here to pickup some of these $1.97 sale items to donate at Christmas time to a charity.
I hope the 1.97 rollback lasts through case G!
Found case D today and Found case k 2 PACKS at Walmart.
I’ve been buying out my nearest Walmart to return the items elsewhere later, but they keep rewarding me with the reassortment singles Case Y and the Tomber / Zen Master case. Grrrrrr…..
and 2 packs are $4. or at least they have been for a few months.
This is fine, but what good is this when they are stocked with yet another 2011 case? I saw this about a week ago in WM. I got REALLY excited to see a new case (didn’t take note of case ID) sitting on the pallet until I saw them being stocked. Same ol’, same ol’. Same thing a few months ago when Target had their singles down to 99 cents (I believe). I went in and saw empty pegs. Wow…new CARS coming, so I thought. Alas though…the next time I visited the store, there they were…back to May 2011 freshly restocked and back to normal prices!!
Would be nice if huge stores like this just put the slow selling toys aside and give them away to not so fortunate kids, think of how the store would look in peoples eyes then. Maybe I am asking too much? Sad!
I have bought an Acer, Holley Shiftwell and a Lightning McQueen at my WM a while ago, and they were all $1.97.
I have only bought a couple singles at Walmart since the Rollback. Each car has rung up at $1.97 so i think it is all singles. It has worked to clean out a few of the stores of most singles. That is a good thing!!
I didn’t buy any to test it, but the WM in Columbia, MD had all their singles pegs tagged $1.97, but the label on all the price tags said Lightning McQueen w/Racing Wheels.
I will quote the Movie Used Cars, “That is way too ******* high!”
