French Olympic Steeplechaser Will Be Easy to Root Against
Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad celebrates getting on the French Olympics Track & Field team by winning the Steeplechase and … tries to push over a 14-year old girl in a chiclet mascot outfit who greets him with a gift bag … which he first knocks out of her hands.
Wait, what?
It should be noted he actually fails to push her over.
She was un-injured.
Surprise, people are mad at him. I wonder if people want to poke him on Facebook.
If only surrendering were an Olympic event!
Three cheers for stupid!
He should be disqualified IMMEDIATELY.
To be fair, that 14-year-old girl just happens to be a Mattel intern in charge of global case contents for the Cars line.
Watching it again, I am in awe of the image stabilization on YouTube — the black bars on the left and right adjust throughout the video — how do they do that? CBS News once ran the Rodney King Beating like that, using not only Horizontal Adjust, but Vertical Adjust and Zoom Adjust as well.
Maybe someone will jump out on the track and push him down in the middle of his Olympics race.
A great example of LOUSY sportsmanship.
