Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Micro Drifters Actually Released!
It seemed to be touch & go there for a while but Micro Drifters have actually been released – TRU has the Mack Carrying Case online and has the 3-pack singles listed but not available online – in stores only.
My local TRU does not have them in yet – Thursday? So, drop us a line if and when you see them.
It will be interesting to see what kind of commitment retailers are going to make for this lineup. Toys R Us will pretty much sell anything if you ask and/or grant them better terms – Target seems likely to carry them as they seem to have exclusives coming at Christmas time but will this line last that long? Walmart is the big unknown. Let us know if you spot any at WM.
These look like the first 3-packs to be released … $6.99 at TRU but I think $5.99 elsewhere.

When I first saw these I thought they were the same size as the shake and go cars. Now I know that they are smaller than the mini adventures.
Are they plastic like the mini adventure ones?
(MET: CARS all plastic – metal ball bearing underneath and note, they are about 2/5th the size of a MINI).

I love these! My only hope is that the McQueens with the Piston Cup racers are C1 McQueens and not C2 McQueens like in the photo.
PS – Good thing Octane Gain doesn’t actually look like that, he is ugly in red.
I hope I can check these out at Target or WM because I hate Toys R Us. I think my kids may like the smaller size, they still play with the Mini Adventures Cars we have. I can picture them carrying a few in their pockets.
Do we know the UPC or stock codes for these yet?
Maybe I’ll buy a pack if I see them. Hopefully when these come out they throw away all the Action Agents.

Did not see them at central Indiana Toys R US stores on Saturday… they were listed on the website… I’m going to have to see these in person before deciding if I’m going to buy them or not.
The last thing I want to do is start collecting yet another product line that Mattel discontinues before finishing… I’d like Team Crew sets, Haulers, Mini Piston Cup Racers, and more… and yes, Rip Clutchgoneski.
