#10 – Mattel originally didn’t want Barbie in the film because they thought the film would be a failure. They also didn’t want Barbie to have a defined personality, preferring to let children imagine Barbie’s personality traits on their own. When the film proved a huge success, Mattel allowed Barbie to appear in Toy Story 2.

Yes this is ….we sat down with Lee Unkrich when we were at a charity event at Pixar Animation Studios. Lee was still sporting a fedora on his very short hair. I even got him to draw a character on my Pixar related personalised license plate and sign it. They even talked about this tradition at SFMOMA during the Pixar panel discussion with several Pixar employees. The exhibition was very cool. We flew to San Fran just for the exhibit.
