Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Kmart CARS Day #8
This is essentially a repeat post but since it’s been 6 months and someone may have missed it but here is what will be offered in June 2012 for Kmart CARS Day #8.
Since CARS Land is opening June 15, 2012 – presumably they will ride the marketing coat-tails and the Kmart CARS Day #8 is June 16th? (Saturday) – no confirmation but it’s a pretty safe guess – or definitely by the next Saturday (23rd).
Hopefully your Kmart is still open by then …

Looks like the event is for Resellers and Complete collection people. Not for kids anymore. My son is dying for new Cars.
Something tells me that in a year or two these will be highly sought after.

One of each for me. Probably will be the only one there again. It’s not much of an event out here, more like me and the store guy agreeing on predetermined terms about opening the cases.
I am actually looking forward to these. I missed the last KMart day due to other stuff going on, but I will definitely be at this one 🙂
Any word on new TRU metallic racers?
I will either buy 0, or a few McQueens; may not have to take the morning off of work though….
They look better in these photos than the earlier shot from summer, but I don’t see myself buying more than 2 sets of these… I don’t know how much of that is due to wanting to find something new… New Cars, not new paint jobs of Cars that many of us already have in many other forms (singles, 2 packs, 4 packs, 5 packs, 7 packs, 10 packs, rubber tire singles, metallic paint singles, launchers…)
Maybe regular Rip will be a sort of chase car in this case.

Well, Shu have been sold $106 on ebay yesterday and McQueen at $36. I believe they will be a big success and won’t last long on the shelves. Remind this post 🙂

I agree with Luca. The Attendance at Cars Day has dwindled dramatically the last few times. While there is a place for EBay-ers and hardcore collectors, the majority of us are “collectors” -along with our kid(s) meaning, now that we finally got Vinyl Toupee, we need the Pitties and Hauler that go with it. I don’t mind buying a clever new Mater or Ramone (like Leidenhosen Mater or Union Jack Ramone) but it will be hard to convince my 6 year old to come buy Silver Carla-he wants vehicles that were in the movies. I doubt we will go-I hope all families boycott this and send a message to KMart to serve the kids first.

Boycott is not necessary… KMart already know the no succes of this event… Last time the woman who was there said why we are doing all this for 2-3 persons… Let just put all these cars on the shelves like all other toys… Hotwheel event days are way much popular! However at the end of the day all these rubber tires and/or exclusive are sold out after some times… How many left on the pegs rightnow? The answer is none for most of all remaining KMart.
