Disney Pixar CARS 2: Wood You Carve a Colossus Art Out of a Piece of XXL Block of Wood?
“Sam” decided not to wait for a plastic maybe-to-scale Micro Drifter series Colossus XXL Dump Truck from CARS 2 … So he carved one out of wood.

This is super cool, but it was not “carved.”
(MET: Everything I know about woodworking can be summed up as a TV Guide crossword puzzle: wood, tree, carve & whittle … and I know it’s not a good idea to try and drive a screw through a knot … that and it lights on fire is my extensive, extensive knowledge on wood … do NOT choose me on a survival trip. 🙂 However, I can detect 12 kinds of digital connectors bllindfolded).

Very nice. Really like the Mater. Having seen pictures of this on the other CARS site being built, I wouldn’t call it carved. Carved gives the impression it’s made from one block of wood.
I’ve been trying to get parts together to make one out of styrene. The hard part is figuring out scale. At first I was under scale in my calculations. I haven’t been able to find the right wheels so far.
One thing I wonder about, is why does Colossus have ladders in a CARS world?:-)
