Disney: Muppets Movie Free Ticket + Toy Story Short

Pixar’s second Toy Story short, Small Fry, directed by BURN-E director Angus MacLane, will be served up with The Muppets on Nov. 23. Buzz gets the spotlight in this one when Bonnie inadvertently leaves him behind at a fast food joint, taking home a kids’ meal Buzz instead. Meanwhile, Buzz meets a gang of toys, including Jane Lynch as a mermaid.

Well they are in the promo picture above. So that is a good sign.

I used to be a HUGE Muppets fan, but that was in the 70’s…now they just seem to be a little anachronistic. Something about putting them in movies with human actors just never seems to work well. (The variety-show skit format was much better for them.) Maybe it’s also because I know the puppeteers have mostly changed and it makes them seem like those 50’s groups that keep the name but don’t have any original members. I wish them the best but I won’t be going unless the reviews are really great.
now i want to go see the muppets!
