Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2: McQueen Alive is Well, Mostly Alive …

The $60 “walking,” talking Lightning McQueen is out.

Rob (My 6 Kids) found him in of all places, Kmart.

When you raise the box portion, it reveals the charging unit (Allinol Gas Pump)

This seems to be a not very compelling box display & design for a $60 item. For something that is a walking-talking item, this box & design says very little and showcases very little about this item.

At least they fixed his face so it color matches.

This was the proto pic …

Original post here.

Thanks for the nice pics, Rob (My 6 Kids).

Also available at Amazon with free shipping.

The technology seems pretty cool but maybe they should have added this technology – controlling it with YOUR BRAIN …

Allinol …. this will be clearance bin fodder for after Christmas markdowns.

I don’t get it…try as I have…do you control him or does he do all that stuff as he chooses? What good is all that fancy action if he just acts like he’s on exhibition?

  • Jack says:

Don’t think they will sell well for this price either. I’m guessing a Black Friday sale item.
As for a computer that can read your brain waves: this is terribly dangerous technology.
The real powers that be have been working on this technology for a long time but not for our own good.
Soon if not already private surveillance companies will be able to read your mind and thoughts whenever they want. Not only that but by understanding brain frequencies they can now disable the minds correct functioning whenever they want with frequency waves and most thought “eye in the sky” is only a song.
Another great example of tax payers money at use.
It’s getting late in the game now folks and the regular people are down by about 10 runs in the ninth. Reality can only be ignored for so long.

    • Stig McQueen says:

It’s not reading your thoughts; it’s just an elaborate on/off switch that reacts to electrical impulses from your brain, like an EKG. Building a machine that reacts to brain activity is a long way from mind-reading.

That would actually be wonderful — think of all the crime that could be stopped before it was committed.

  • Tom says:

Pretty neat, but not $60 neat, methinks.

So he slams down an energy drink and gets all hyper? Sounds familiar! 😯

I saw this for the first time at Kmart yesterday …. top shelf …. no price tag … barely even noticed it … I have a feeling it will be on the shelf for a LONG LONG time! I was not impressed for that price.

    • Micky says:

Since you mentioned it, I checked my Kmart. There it was on the top shelf kind of hidden behind some other large toys. The price tag below was $62.99.

I hope the Allinol that is being pumped into Lightning McQueen doesn’t cause him to have an unfortunate accident.
