Any idea when we will see the release of Vladmir and Victor?
I actually saw my first new Cars 2 cars since their first release – The orange racer and the white racer on single cards. Miguel I think? They seem to be popping up quite a bit now. All the launchers are $4.97 at Wally World now.
Haven’t seen any new singles, but Fred Meyer put out a big display with Pinion Tanaka and new launchers with a yellow/red car and a black car (can’t remember their names). If anyone needs these I can pick them up. Think they are $10 for the launchers. butterflyhaven at msn.com

Nice. The line definitely needs some new blood. Hopefully there will be more than just these too.
We’ve pretty much given up on Cars 2 die cast. Our stores are so overstocked with the original releases and Submarine Finns that it’s not even worth going down those toy aisles any more.
This is a line that’s probably going to die long before it’s time, and it’s apparently going to be a long, slow death, as retailers are not going to replenish stores that are sitting on so much old stock.
Dr. Kevorkian is gone, so I don’t know who they’ll get to finally pull the plug. 🙁
A local area Mattel representative recently removed all Finns and Maters that were clogging the shelfs on the 2 Targets that we have. I ran into her at TRU and she said she was going to do the same for TRU and Walmart. She is replacing them with cases that have the racers Max Schnell and Carla Veloso. Hope this is going to be done in other cities too.
I really do hope that happens everywhere, and the sooner the better.
Cars 2 hasn’t been anywhere near the fun that Cars was. It would be nice to get back into that “thrill of the hunt” mode that we were all in for Cars and the Toons releases, maybe it will happen after that wave of overfilled pegs gets cleared out.

Wow, these are greeeeat! These are going to be a big hit at my house. With a Victor Hugo casting, maybe we will see some Hugo minions too.

More than a repaint. The mouth and eyes are different and they “fixed” the dent and “damaged” trim on the left side. It will be interesting to see if the prototypes wheels make as they are different also
Any idea why the orange car seems to have eight wheels?
Might be a photo of the slot car version?
(MET: I guess it’s “realistic” as it’s some sort of engine block road guard? It’s rounded but it’s not a tire).
Maybe they are guards (like what’s done on Hot Wheels) to minimize axle bending when I ‘screech’ them around on the front room floor! Oops, I mean when the kids screech them around 8-D
Well they better put some cool new cars before Christmas. Lately it’s been pretty dull out there.
