Toys Are Never Smokin’ Fun Anymore …
I cannot seem to find this anywhere on the shelves …it seems like a load of fun, I cannot think of one good reason why this is not on the shelf?
😆
What could possibly be wrong or go wrong with giving kids matches, tiny home-made rolled “cigarettes” and plastic cartoon figures where you insert lit up sticks into their mouths?
Does the Deluxe version come with tiny cans of nitro and gunpowder?
Guess we’ll never get a Lizzie CARS release where she’s smoking homemade cigarette and drinking moonshine … darn those political correct party poopers.
Yup, I remember them also ! The cigs smelled awesome as I recall. Loved the candy cigs and the chocalate cigs a swell ! Think mater would look good with a cig hangin out his mouth !!!!
Mater strikes me as a hand-rolled kind of guy…
way tooooo cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I heard they updated this in the 70’s, and made a Scooby Doo set with ‘short’ cigarettes
Ah, yes; “Scooby doobie'” I think it was called…
I remember making matchstick rockets when I was a kid; learned how from a science book. Quite simple, really; but it was, literally, playing with fire.
Truly the good ole days – Disney even edited out Pecos Bill’s cigs in any new versions of Melody Time or American Folk Heroes…..
That is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I wonder if my parents played with anything similar?
What about the cigarrette gum with the corn starch between the gum and the paper..when you blew..it looked like smoke…oh the good ole days when smoking was cool…haha..never smoked…but my parents were both 2 packs a day. mom still is, dad has stopped.
My parents were casual smokers until the morning they caught me (2 1/2) and my sister (1 1/2) going “pfff pfff pfff” to cigarette butts in an ashtray the morning after a New Year’s Eve party at their place. Cold turkey ever since, and that was 40+ years ago.
I remember buying the gum cigarettes with real smoke (colored smoke, right?) and loving them! As well as the candy cigarettes. So much better than the real thing, which luckily I never caught on to. That’s a good thing, as there is this other habit which is pretty expensive too – a-hem! something about toy cars cough cough
I remember those too! Oh the good ol’ days.
Love it!
