Just wanted to share my experience…
I received my order of the four Crew Chief 2-packs today… Well, not exactly.
Kmart.com had my order ship from a Philadelphia store, which sent four of the wave 1 two packs that have been Walmart now for weeks.
So, I don’t know how smart of an idea it is to order the 2-packs from the website.
I hope the other items in my order come correctly.
It’s a shame that Kmart was the store that Disney-Pixar chose to hold the collectors event because Kmart does not live up to their high standards of quality and customer service.
I emailed Kmart to see how they plan on correcting this pathetic error by their Philadelphia store.
My son has been playing with his new WGP cars for the last 4 hours and almost all the paint has been scratched off the front of Shu. He seems to enjoy reenacting all the crash scenes for some reason. Looks like a change of plans for tomorrow; going to pick up one of each of the WGP rubber tire racers to keep in the package as back ups! So now instead of only buying one car tomorrow (Ramone), we have to buy 5! Can’t wait to see this movie again tomorrow. Our TRU free tickets are printed out and ready to go!
I ordered the 2 packs online…worst case is I can go into the store and exchange them for the real 2 pack exclusives…couldn’t resist at 5.99 each…also ordered that mysterious launcher just to see what arrives…I’ve returned things to Kmart store before…ordered VT hauler once…got a Mack hauler….haha…didn’t pay any shipping this time, so it shouldn’t be hard to get FULL refund…

Got my Kmart case today! Came with (3) King, (3) McQueen, (3) Chick Hicks, (2) Hydraulic Ramone, (3) Shu Todoroki, (3) Nigel Gearsley and (3) Francesco Bernoulli. Don’t have any Kmarts near me here in Houston so buying the case online is the best way to go.
Every time I read a Kmart post here my brain can’t help but playing circus music.
We used to make fun of you in elementary school if your parents shopped at Kmart. As I grew older, I began to feel that was a cruel and elitist way to think and act and vowed not to raise my own kids to be that way. But now because I see how Kmart really does operate as a business, how can I get upset if my kids start making fun of them too?
It’s more like the backmasking in the Electric Light Orchestra song where he says “Turn back… Turn back… Turn back…”.

First time post, long time reader…
Ordered the 5 exclusive 2-packs on Monday on kmart.com. Box arrived today containing 5 regular 2-pack sets (the common ones available everywhere). Called the 800 number and was told to return them to the store. Unhelpful returns person there didn’t know what to do and acted like I was trying to con them so drove home mad with the 5 2-packs, thinking about all the times you all have gotten burned by KMart (I shoulda listened!). Called the 800 number back home and talked to a very pleasant person who swears my order will be re-placed correctly and she’s sending me a shipping label so I don’t have to go back to that store. Whew! Maybe there will be a happy ending…
What a nightmare!
And I know EXACTLY what you mean when you said the in-store returns person treated you like a con man.
I’ve said for a couple years that I predict that Toys R Us will go belly up by the end of 2011, but maybe I should have predicted Kmart!
They refused to take your return and give you a refund?!?

You are probably right about this. I refuse to order anymore. I was one that got Kmart 4 instead of 5 last time so I said never again.

I hope you get them sooner than later. My order in October took a really long time to arrive, and when it did, half of it was Kmart Day 4 cases, not Day 5.
Drove and drove today, (Alabama + Florida) hit 5 K-Marts… NO CREW CHIEF PKS ANYWHERE!
I was wondering where thee Naughty Knight had rode off to. Yeah, haven’t had too much luck with Kmart lately. Still planning on checking out what’s going on there on Saturday though.
Kmart was out of stock on the event cases a few hours ago.
Is why it says “Error Occurred” when you click “Pre-Order Now”? If so, they need to take down the “In Stock!” banner.
