The 4 packs are NOT on sale at the Target stores. Must be online only. I was just there and they are still ringing up at $18.99 not $12.00. Guess they will have to stay there. 🙁

Did anyone notice in the weekly circular for Kmart, not the two week ad up top, where it advertises the launchers for 7.99, that the launcher it’s showing is a Francesco launcher? I havent heard of a release schedule for the launchers and wasnt aware if the Francesco launcher was coming out soon. Then again, this is Kmart and we still dont know when stores will see the crew chief two-packs they advertise. I know they’re ordable online, but we all know how that goes with Kmart.
Kmart buyer told me in an email they are waiting on the exclusive 2 packs from Mattel. He could not give any date. Why they continue to entice people with this stuff showing in stock is beyond belief. Their web people seem to just throw up things for sale that they haven’t received.

Looks like the retailers are worried they’ll get stuck with a bunch of merchandise after the movie.
Nope they are worried. Having sales priemire week was the plan all along. Judging from all the stores I have visited so far, sales are doing great. These cars are flying off the shelves.
Not at my stores. I clean up the displays and arrange the pegs by character, put all the 2-Packs on pegs per pack, etc. I do this to see what is moving and what isn’t and makes it easy to see if anything new has been put up. The toy clerks also appreciate this and they usually are good about telling me when new stuff is on the truck. Hardly anything has moved since May 16th.
Once the movie hits the big screen, Cars items will move quickly, as kids AND adults develop a need to own the die-cast, and other items, that duplicate the characters in the movie that they’ve grown attached to on the 24th, 25th, or ???
I remember, a LONG time ago, when kdthomas said he’d be nowhere around for Cars 2 merchandise. Funny how things have changed as the movie has gotten closer?
Not with all the duplicates they’re saturating the market with. All the Finn’s, Holley’s, Francesco’s, Mater’s, etc. Maybe there’s some sort of cloning going on in the movie that would explain all the pegwarmers.
That IS true. Although this go around I’m not a collect them all…just a collect the ones I like. 😀 I started a new hobby in homebrewing beer that is getting more of my “fun money” each paycheck 😀
Just to let everyone know if you spend $25.00 at kmart you get a 11 x 14 size limited edition lenticular poster or you can purchase it for $19.99.
And remember for those of you who have the Walgreens ad, you can take it to Walmart and get it at the same price with there price match. I went there yesterday and picked up 4 complete sets of cars #1-#18 all for $2.25 each.

So funny that the only difference (I can see) between the Kohl’s Barrel Blowout (for $29.99) and the regular one (at $14.99 and now $10.99) is the plastic Professor Z. Might be worth getting at the discount for the crane.
The one at Kohl’s with the 25% off sale and the 30% off for the Kohl’s card still would have cost you $16. Same as regular price at Target without Professor Z. Didn’t need another plastic Prof. Z because going to get one with the Tyler 2 pack if we ever find it. So now is the perfect time to pick up Barrel Blowout for $11 and see if my Kmart messed up and put Ramone out early. Or get a Lewis Launcher for $8! HA-HA-HA!
I tried ordering a couple using the store pickup. Website showed they were available at my local KM, but about an hour after ordering I got a cancellation email:

Not worth it for me to pay the extra $7 shipping charge and roll the dice on getting the right 2-pack.
I got my cancellation email from that guy too. I swear, he must be paid on the total number of online orders placed, while not netting out returns, cancelled orders and all the incorrect merchandise that gets sent out.
I’m waiting for the day when Wall Street analysts take a deeper look at Kmart’s online sales — it will be one of those moments like “The Firm” when Mitch McDeere discovers all the overbilling his firm has been doing to its clients.

I will say this….. Gerard at Kmart is really not happy with the way people get things they do not order.
Everyone should know by now that I tried very hard to get that job and nail this this problem down.
I have not given up on it either.
Fred Meyer is also having a sale. Buy one single cat for $4.49 and get the second free with in store coupon. That makes each a net $2.25. Walgreens has the same offer- buy one get one for $4.49.
Too bad for those who stocked up at $3.99 each last week.
Why do you say its too bad, since you can return with receipts$. Most stores have a 30 day return policy. Price adjustment policies at Target lets you get a matching price within a 2 week period. Its not worth it for a dollar, but someone who buys the whole set of singles up to number 18 could get a nice refund.
And Walmart price matches, so take in your ads when you go. I got a nice discount at Walmart using my Kohls ad yesterday.
BMW, the vast majority of US stores are now offering at least 90 days on returns, about the only one staying at 30 is Big Lots.
Plus, receipts aren’t even needed if you paid with plastic, either debit or cc, as “no receipt lookup” is available at most major retailers, as they can pull up purchases just by searching your card purchases within their system for the item in question.
I was thinking about Big Lots and Family dollar both of which have 30 day return policy. Thanks for the no receipt info. Always have been big on saving the receipts, and keeping records of purchases.
I’m with you regarding the receipts. I’m meticulous about keeping receipts at least until their return deadline ends and certainly until any warranty expires, as with electronics, etc.
**A note about certain retailer’s receipts, especially Target. MAKE A COPY if it’s for anything like a tv or other electronics, or anything with a longer warranty, as their “thermal” paper fades quickly after about 90 days(coincidence?).
A copy of the receipt on printer paper will probably outlast the item the receipt is for, but thermal paper receipts die a quick death, especially if exposed to heat or sunlight.
Heck yeah! I’ve been waiting to get Barrel Blowout and now it’s only $11! Since I didn’t get it at Kohl’s, now I’ll have a spot for the extra Professor Z if I can ever find the Tyler 2 pack!

Is there a list of Kmart locatipns that are participating in next Saturday’s event? Neither of the locations near me have posters up or anything, and the websites for all of the stores within a 75-mile radius all say “no events” under the “store events” tab…
Have you tried talking to the manager to confirm if they’re participating? I always thought all KM stores did the event but maybe not
I called the store today; the manager said they didn’t know yet if they were having the event, since they hadn’t found a vendor. Apparently they’re looking to hire someone to come in and run the event for them; I said that vendor or not, they’d have to have received the merchandise by now, and he said they had the cases and the only issue was whether or not they’re going to have an event, or just put them on the pegs. So, event or no, there will be CARS!
Would you send me your name and city and state and location or store number of that Kmart please?

My store didn’t even put a poster up until the Wednesday prior to the event last October.
My store has its poster up in one of those free-standing aluminum annoucement sign holders right at the entrance… it is on the back side facing the wall. I had to ask and a staffer showed it to me.
