Disney Pixar CARS 2: CARS 2 & Toons Books For iPhone, iPod & iPad
If you want to save a few trees and a few more bookcases, some of the CARS 2 books are available for your IOS devices (ipad, iphone and ipod touch).
(LINKS below will launch iTunes)
Cars 2 The Junior Novelization
NOTE: Spoiler alerts. The novelization is exactly that – the entire movie told in book form so don’t read until the 24th!
The other beginning reader books split up the movie into chapters so they are still spoiler alerts … but if you want to load them on your device for reading in a few weeks, you are set to go. 🙂
There are now a bunch of CARS 1 books also available:
And of course, the Mater Tall Tales are available to purchase as shorts, however now you can buy each of the stories (from the Treasure of Mater Tall Tales) digitally, but only available separately.

Really great stuff… Gotta say though… $2.99 sounds a bit stiff non!??!?! I dunno since I have yet to down;load a book for my iphone… But this will not be the first one I buy… Well … Err…. Maybe!?!?!
(MET: $2.99 is about the price for the CARS 2 books but buying the MTT individually is about twice what you’d pay for the price versions though if you really just want 1 or 2 of the stories …).
Met, I found a great item in the book section at Target. Its a full color polyester Storybook pillow. 8 pages with velco tabs. The cover has 7 racers. Its has the story inside so I won’t open it, but peaked at the beautiful illustrations. 9.99.
They has a similar “story pillow” for Cars 1. My son still takes it to bed with him every night and still reads it here and there. Again, beautiful illustrations. 🙂
I’ve been surprised there’s not an iPhone app for Cars 2, with the turntables, images, and other stuff.
That would have been cool.
