Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS 2: Open McQueen Fan, Ronnie Del “Mini” Cooper
Thanks for the great pics, “John H.” – opening up his Target Racing 4-Pack for everyone to get a closer look …
Tasty looking details all around …
Since BMW, a German company owns Mini Cooper now, and it’s now a ‘world’ car, I say in the spirit of togetherness and that it’s a World Grand Prix – we need 230 Mini Coopers with each flag of the world! Who’s with me? 🙂
Maybe Ramone can set up an instant paint booth at each race where people can just drive through? 🙂 Forget paint changers – flag changers!
And a nice gathering of Lightning fans …
Yea, Ronnie Del Cooper is probably a tad large, that’s always the hard part with Mini Cooper’s. Do you make it proper to scale or give people a little value for their money by enlarging it? The debate of every diecast sculptor versus the manufacturer … but next to Richard Clayton Kensington or Elvis RV, I’m sure he’ll look fine … or the Double Decker Bus if my previous sentence of mixing CARS 1 and CARS 2 CARS so offends you almost threw your computer out the window … 😛
Thanks for opening and taking great pics, “John H.”
In package photos HERE.
Are those Chinese/Japanese characters on the license plate?
That’s a Japanese plate on the back of Ronnie. Can’t make out the prefecture that issued the plate though.
Looks like it to me.
found this 4 pack this morning
What part of the country are you in BMW?
She is in Texas 🙂
Who is the 4th car along with the lenticular eyes please? Thanks!
Wilmar Flatz.
The Mini Cooper is cool! And I wonder why some of the cars are so out of scale with each other and it seems to vary so widely. Uncle Topolino is incredibly tiny compared to the other cars and the Pacer is also a tad too small, but the Gremlin is about right. I understand the cost of the materials but when some are too big and others too small that argument seems to fall apart. A little more consistent scale to each other would be nice. We all remember what happened with poor Fred.
No doubt. The one that annoys me every time I look at her is Coriander. She’s supposed to be a little baby car, yet she’s easily one of the largest race fans.
Yeah, that one bothers me too, and one of the worst is Timouthy Timezone. I have all the fifties looking Cars together and next to Derek Dobbs, who is the correct better bigger size, Timouthy is painfully underscaled.
We just opened and added the old Larger Fred to our collection of Rusty old cars. My son loves him. He says it is Fred’s dad. But the old Fred is almost bigger than Rusty Rust-eze!
Doesn’t Swift Alternetter look big too? I guess it’s because she’s seen around all these huge RVs, but she looks like a little version of the Honda Element in the movie to me, not some 3 Window SUV. Am I wrong on that? She just looks really long.
I guess it would be too much to ask for Mattel to release a Race Fan 4 pack.
One can dream, right???? 🙂
This is obviously named for Pixar’s Ronnie del Carmen — maybe John Lassetire isn’t far behind.
Can’t wait to get Ronnie. There will be another with Miguel, Raoul, and a Carla fan soon. More fans may follow. Do you know when the Carla fan pack will come out Met?
Very nice! Can’t wait to see him in person!
I was just at my local Target this morning, returning an item purchased from Target.com that arrived crushed. This set hasn’t hit my store yet. I’m definitely getting this set and the one with Carla Veloso’s biggest fan.
Me too, but 1 extra McQueen will be bought. I can easily see a parent refusing to buy their kids a pack for just 1 or even 2 cars. Mattel needs to see our comments. I love the race fans and would love to see more. And I like Mini Coopers.
I’m looking forward to this 4 pack… thanks for the photo…
Oh well, I guess I have to go to Target when I get of work.
Right on! Thanks, John H. Love the mix of McQueen fans; they’d look great next to McQueens biggest fan of all….
Neat!
Ditto!
