As of right now, it’s hard to tell exactly what case they’re in but it looks like they are coming sooner than later so they might even be (Queen) in Deluxe CASE C & (Popemobile) in CASE D – will update as soon as we know.

HOPEfully the POPEmobile and the POPE won’t be sold separately… 🙂 I can see a religious pack having them with Padre and Alter Boy. What about that?

Anybody knows what is the following item? I checked Target’s PDA and looks like Cars II items in particular (everything that has to do with toys) is listed from 087-07-1962 to 087-07-1995 Think that’s the range.
Anyways.. I came across one that caught my attention… It said Cars 2 Holiday something assortment. DPCI was 087-07-1984. Anybody know what this is? I’m intrigued to find out 😀 No locations in the back or around me.
(MET: It’s either last years holiday bulb release of Mater, LM & King or it’s this years …).

They are priced $6.99. Probably new ones for the holiday season. It says Cars 2 on the description of the item.

I read somewhere that C1 profitted a couple hundred million maybe, but BILLIONS have been made off the toys. Brilliant. The movies are just a “vehicle” (pun) to sell toys.
Just about every toy I loved growing up had a TV show or movie to go along with it. Star Wars was the first successful toyline based off a movie. So then Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, and Transformers capitalized on that and created a whole bunch of 30 minute commericials to sell their toys!
(MET: Where are the action figures for THE HANGOVER? 🙂 ).
According to Harold Camping’s new calculations, the “Rapture Day” is scheduled to be May 21st 2011… That will give us officially (I am talking about CARS 2 releasing day, not the raptue day) 5 business to enjoy our new CARS 2… So, not only “Collect them all” but “BUY THEM ALL “!!! 🙂
Doesn’t it kind of defeat the purpose of it if you know when the exact date of the rapture is? It’s suppossed to be a surprise! That way, you should always be ready for it!
Well, Check what happened with the CARS 2 scheduled launching day… It didn’t really happened like predicted. We were all ready for THAT day but the surprise is also a desappointment for some. Everything is relative to your perception. Even if everything is all set up to happen at a certain time and taking all the precautions with red labels telling when to open or when not to open… Things happen when it’s happen. Two words to express my tought on that…. “WHO CARES?” 🙂
I don’t know why God should save the Queen seeing how the royal family pretty much live like Gods on earth anyway but I sure want the Queen Car and Pope Mobile.
This movie has such a wide reaching global appeal it’s going to be crazy. Something for everyone.
Let the Naysayers of the Cars 2 line say what they will but to me this is one great line of new cars.
I hoping for a vehicle, but at the least there has to be a Hatchback of Notre Dame joke in the movie!

Im totally loving the Queen car. I think it may be my new favorite car. Oops…I mean OUR new favorite car (refering to me and my daughter)lol. Looks like all the other cars better behave in front of the Pope car.
Will the Queen be voiced by Helen Mirren? That would be neat.
Also, for all the Aussies there will be “Frosty” a V8 supercar voiced by Mark Winterbottom! It is old news but I only just found out today. Very glad to see us Aussies in the “World of Cars”.

Old news indeed Mat. My boys are both excited by this and when we were looking for Cars last week, they kept asking where Frosty was.
My wife however when my brought the new Cars 2 stuff home just rolled her eyes and asked where I am going to display everything. I am guessing we need a bigger house.
Lol. Resistance is futile. I know what you mean about space, my wife told me reluctantly I can buy them, just know that there is no place to display them.

Now that these two deluxe diecasts are announced, can we speculate about what single #19 and 20 will be? Will they be Prince Wheel.I.Am and Chauncy Fares? Mama Topolino and Mama Bernoulli? Will the next deluxe be Sgt. Highgear? We know two of the Kmart rubber tire racers will be King and Chick. Will the other one from Cars 1 be McQueen? Or will it be something much cooler? Who will be the 3 rubber tire racers from Cars 2? Lewis and Rip will be two of them hopefully. Are they trying to release every car from Cars 2 between now and Christmas? Will they make us wait until 2016 before Cars 3 comes out? Why didn’t I have any of these questions last week when Met asked?
