Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS 2: Siddeley Spy Plane – First Class
Siddeley is definitely a first class carrying case & playset.
And unlike other aircraft and airplanes from Mattel, this one is in scale, a playset and a mini carrying case.
With Mattel 1:55 Mater on the wing …
And Mater ready to jump on board …
Play features, opens up to hold three CARS or a really, really nice jelly jean dispenser.
Wheels roll!
Missile launcher, ramp and tail hook to bring in a CAR …
“Use only missiles with this toy.” In other words, don’t try this with your Barbie missiles or worst of all, your GI Joe missiles. And another warning about not firing at point blank range which I’m totally certain that no brother would fire at point range towards another sibling – would not happen, ever … maybe … but only if you’re back is turned or the sibling “asked for it.” 🙂
Unfortunately the Amazon pre-order link was pulled – Siddeley the Spy Jet – should be back up in 2 weeks.
My son and I cannot wait to see this on the shelf! 😀
You men jelly bean dispenser?
lol exactly!
Also, if you look at the steps on the back of the box, it looks like Sid is ensnaring Cars, bringing them onboard, and somehow converting them into missles. Poor McQueen. I hope it was painless.
Can’t help but wonder if it hurts when Cars go up his…ramp…
I just noticed the “A113” on the tail, am I late?
Same as Andy’s mom car license plate in ToyStory isn’t it ???
As far as scale goes it might not be too far off.
Hes called Siddeley as a reference to Hawker Siddeley and the closest thing they made Ive been able to find is this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAe_125
which was 47-47.5 feet long which gives 10-10.5 inches at 1:55 scale.
Has anyone measured this nose to tail.
(MET: You can use Mater at a reference …).
His official bio reads : “At 176 feet from nose to tail and an impressive 157-foot wingspan”.
So at 1:55 scale he should be 38.4″ long with a wingspan of 34.3″.
OK not so much then.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH SIDDELEY RETAILS FOR ??? THANKYOU !!!
$22.99 w/o tax @Target 087-07-1979
My son likes his, he plays with it quite a bit too!
THANKYOU
I am looking forward to Siddeley…
Compared to the helicopters and Marco in my son’s Cars Air Force, this thing will look huge. This guy is on our list for the 16th. I bet Disney Store Frank will have to outmanuver some anti-tank missiles quite a bit in two weeks.
I really like this place a lot considering it is 1:55… might consider picking it up… And no… not for playing || carrying case… Just for display… 😀 Thankz MET
Cool. Looks to be about the same size as the Dinoco Helicopter.
So, if one of the CARS up front wants off first, it gets ejected. lol.
Neat!!
But considering a plane has at least 2-4 seats across and an aisle, I’d say this is more like 1:165 or 1:275 scale. 🙂
But are those seats for Cars or people?
This is a private business jet. These planes have only one seat per side. The seat may vary from one customer choice to an other between 18 and 22 inches. The minimum clearance unique central aisle between seat armrest for egress security issues must be 20 inches. Of course all these dimensions are human related. Lokoking at this the pictures the ratio is not too bad but still quite too small. I don’t care, this is a must have to my collection for sure and why not buying two and hang one in my son’s bedroom ceiling like is coming down with an attack angle to the bed…sooooo cool.
Here’s a view of Siddeley’s interior on an official picture:

Yep, this toy is definitely 1:165 scale.
