Finally! Barry has arrived today over here in Germany…
Too bad there is no way to track the international shipments
from Matty….I wonder if his stay in Las Vegas was extented
to 3 or 4 weeks…?
I am glad he arrived finally…now getting ready to wait again
to see Cars 2 over here later….at the end of July….booo!

My two BD arrived last weekend in LR, Arkansas right before the tornadoes… The box contain the two individual boxes. Very well done. I have open it to enjoy that very nice collector item. I still wondering how many exist but doesn’t matter how many they have produced this item value will do like red wine… Worth a lot more with age!
How bad is the damage out there? My neighbor is leaving tomorrow to go do some repair work in Georgia and Alabama for the next two weeks.
I am about an hour away from the city of Vilonia who was hit pretty hard. Unfortunately 4 persons lose their life in there. I was on my way back home in west Little Rock when the wind, rain and hail started. I stop because I couldn’t see a thing and at one point I tought I will see the twister appear in front of me. The sound of the hail falling on my car was getting louder and louder but nothing bad happened. Some trees fall and minor damaged to some houses but nothing serious. I must admit I was scared for a while…

mine just arrived in RI…I had a friend order them cuz I was not available at 12pm that day…I’m being told mine arrive in a big big box…I only bought 2…If my memory serves me right, all the matty Exclusives I ordered arrived in similar, rediculously huge boxes…guess my distribution facility knows what a “collector” is…:)

Barry Diesel arrived in Ohio today, and I must say that he is the COOLEST car that has ever been or ever will be made…. PERIOD. Total coolness! I am about to go and try to order another one to take out of the box. I just gotta get my hands on him!

I was bummed that I accidentally chose UPS 2-day shipping and cost myself an extra $10, but after reading all the posts, maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. I purchased 2 and they came together in a small box. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived in Tennessee on Thursday. Not exactly 2 days!
JUST GOT MINE TODAY , PACKAGING WAS TERRIBLE FOR SHIPPING COST !!! VERY HAPPY WITH THE SIZE OF HIM !!

Still waiting in Detroit. Package started in Ontario, went to Sparks, BACK TO SACRAMENTO, now ???. Can’t wait to see what that poor envelope looks like by the time it gets here!
Has anyone else’s order been showing in transit from Sparks, NV for several days???? I’m getting frustrated that it is not updating with current tracking information. Is it because they turned it over to the USPS so it is only delivery confirmation now? I’ve received three other packages all ordered AFTER Barry – two of them just two days ago!
And if someone ordered more than one, are they all coming in their own individual envelopes???? If mine are damaged, there will be one HOT Smurfette to deal with! It’s just not right!
(MET: Not to pick on the USPS tracking but it’s not exactly like UPs or FedEx where they pretty much tell Evan, your driver is a Leo and he’s eating a roast beef sandwich at the the corner of Jefferson & King Street and you should expect deliver at 3:17 PM … with USPS, most likely you will get the package days before the tracking info is updated).
My order seems more delayed than everyone else’s. It took them 4 1/2 days from my order to have any status on their website. And then finally this morning they added that it went from California to Nevada to California and now Nevada again. I’ll be lucky to get April delivery at this rate!
(MET: I’m in CA – my tracking says it went from CA to Nevada & now in transit … mule train … eha!).
Still nothing out here either. Why is it Robandhis6kids can get a package to my house in 18 hours but it takes Matty.com 5 days just to ship it out of the warehouse? Is Matty just packing all these by himself?
Let’s see… got mine on the 20th. I’m less than an hour drive from Ontario California. The package was shipped from Ontario to a Shipping Partner Facility in Sparks Nevada first. Likewise, mine also came in the padded envelope, which was ripped open at one end and taped shut and stamped by the post office as “RECEIVED UNSEALED”… while the model was okay, the rear support piece was off and loose in the display box. For a company catering to collectors, they have a lot to learn about treating their merchandise as collectibles.
Yeap..very bad job packaging! For the shipping cost they are charging at least send it in a box Matty!!
So it is a bit on larger scale….

The site is called Matty COLLECTOR… but they treat your item as a toy.
Barry the toy definitely isn’t the same CG model shown in the Blu-ray Finder as Barry — though I’ll need to watch the movie again to see how close this sculpt matches. Wouldn’t be the first time the image on the toy packaging doesn’t match the movie. More irritating is that he isn’t the same color as shown on Matty, either. (And has a painted front bumper to boot.)
I hope they dont plan on sending all of the ones I ordered in envelopes
Mine hasn’t arrived yet and I’m near Sacramento California. Barry has spent the last 36 hours in Sparks, Nevada (about 100 miles EAST of Sacramento); probably staked at out one of the casinos!

I think yoiur Barry and mine must’ve got the same GPS units as Van. Mine apparently liked Sparks, NV. So much that he went back again! He left Sparks on Monday (18th); arrived in Fishers, IN on Wednesday (20th); and was back in Sparks, NV again yesterday! Apparently he’s now en route to Elizabeth, NJ.
Whatever it was that he left behind in Sparks, it must’ve been important; it took him two days to get to Fishers, IN, but he made it back to Sparks in less than 24 hours! He definitely had the hammer down on that trip!
Mine’s at home waiting for me!

My tracking shows the package having left Sparks Nevada last night. Looks like I won’t see Barry until next week.

On a Cars 2 note, it looks like a lot more characters have been named! The Queen, Prince Wheeliam, Chauncy Fares, Sgt. Highgear and Topper Deckington III have all been named, and Vladimir Trunknov is another version of Grem. He is Light Blue with a yellow stripe. He’s a minion working for Professor Z.
