Target has begun their in-store clearance of all Mattel Disney Pixar CARS products – from @30% to 50% in this first go-around.
There’s not much left … well, outside of the 9-pack which is 50% at $14.98 …
It seems unlikely we will see the remaining 8 Final Lap CARS listed as “coming,” but on the bright side, if they show up, they will be at the clearance price.
There’s not much in the way of Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Toy items at Target.com but some items might be of interest to you.

Are the last trucks coming out other than on ebay?
Went to Target today and found Cars2 double packs in of all places the Easter section. They look pretty good!
Have checked the Easter section in 5 different Targets, no luck yet!
I really wanted to see what the FL Bertha Butterwagon looks like. Her name sounds like she was going to be such a cool car. I am so disappointed that they are not going to be making the rest of the FL lap series. All they have left at the Target in my area is the Speedway 9 pack, which at $15 is still too much IMO. I already have half the cars in the pack.

Surely someone, somewhere, somehow has a plan for the Final Final Laps ??? And what about the missing and very hard to find released Haulers ??? They would be leaving a lot of $$$ on the table. 😉

What are the remaining 8 Final Lap Cars? I’m guessing Wilmar Flatts is one of them since I found a Lenticular of that one

I got a Tokyo Mater playset for $10.48 last night. Don’t really intend to assemble it, but I now have a ‘clean’ Tokyo Mater.
Yeah, that’s the only reason I bought it. We’re gonna open it at Easter. I just hope the window decals are painted and not stickers like Frank’s eyes in Tractor Tippin’ playset.
bj- just checked mine, and they are stickers. What just gets me is he’s 100% plastic, and so light. However, I’ll take this TM over the ‘snazzy-painted’ expensive SDCC one.
Would have bought the SDCC one if wasn’t for those flames.
That is sad! But look on the bright side, They’ll be back with merchandise for Cars 2 next month!
The Speedway 9 pack came out at $39.99… it was a Black Friday special at $19.99… Shortly after Black Friday they adjusted the price to $29.99… so 50% off $29.99 gives $14.98…

I saw over 50 of the 9 packs at the Muncie Indiana Target last night… there were also a few haulers and color changers, several of the HTB/Leakless/Dinoco team sets (hauler/racer/pitty) and a FL Derek Decal Dobbs that I got for $3.48.
My Targets have almost nothing but the nine packs. If the price is that low or lower, it is a good time to pick up some sets for donating to your local Toys For Tots, et al for Christmas.

Shame that its probably not cost effective to send these to Europe, the shelves in the picture would empty pretty quick in the UK.
I can send 62 sets! However, I would cut each section out of the packaging, but shipping wouldn’t be too bad.
How much would UK postage be roughly if they were removed from box and posted loose?
I sent 4 sets loose last year at Black Friday for about 16.40 each. But remember there is not a tracking number with that service either.
So about 32 dollars shipped then?

Ah retailers. They made a fortune on Cars 1.
So Cars 1 goes out with a whimper instead of a bang. Shame on Mattel for not releasing the last 8.
BMW- it’s the way of stores: why would they tell you to wait for a new product, which will probably keep you from purchasing the old product?
Most likely they are hoping people think that these will be the last Cars merchandise ever…and then spring Cars 2 on the unsuspecting masses.
And I don’t care how many say it isn’t the same- this reminds me of Hasbro just sweeping the Indiana Jones line under the rug. Tons of Raiders/Crystal Skull stuff, bare minimum for Last Crusade, and then nothing for Temple of Doom.

My Target has 62 of those 9-packs. There were 6 on the shelves forever, but once the clearance began, out came the other 56.

Yep, they were definitely $39.99 to start with. My Target’s sign says 30% off, but also has them at $14.99. Not sure what fancy math they used to make that work.
My Target has that sign too, but it says “or more” under it in smaller print. Yours is likely to be the same.
