Vinyl touppe and shifty drug haulers, 3 bessies, frank, easy idle and Mood springs pit row launcher, chase king with cup, new color changers, even some cars toons…all found at Kohl’s with a deep discount…I think I once walkd out of there with 4 haulers for under 20$…I get the mailings too! Bessies were the greates find…..EVER!
All the Kohls around me only have Gil. Even if they get the Cars 2 stuff, so will everybody else. Best thing I got at Kohl’s was a Sven. Then I started seeing him everywhere else too. Don’t get me wrong though, I still like to get clothes from Kohl’s, just not toys.
Kohl’s stores are hit and miss… but the only stores where I scored Vinyl Toupee and Shifty Drug Haulers… new Color Changers… a few Chase Cars… 25% off sales help… here’s hoping that my local Kohl’s will have a few Cars2 items.
My best Cars find ever was at a Kohl’s… it was the three pack of Lightning w/Dinoco showgirls. The remains of the package were lodged deep under the bottom shelf on the floor. The outer package was gone as was McQueen; just the two showgirls remained. The checkout person looked over the wreckage then charged me $1.99 for the two cars. 😉
Why is Kohl’s toy department always such a disaster area?
Kohl’s having a toy dept lets parents shop peacefully while their children play. It seems to work for these stores. Kids have a wonderful time. Haven’t been in one that did not look like playtime.
My biggest score at Kohl’s was a Bessie who was fine once I freed her, but her package was mangled. I hunted a bunch of Kohls and was about to give up when I spotted her upside down about 2 feet below the pegs she was originally on. Got her for 1.16 with discount and coupons.
I’m on Kohl’s mailing list, and they are always sending out coupons tha tyou can use in addition to whatever discounts are available in-store. Once in a while, they also send out Kohl’s cash, so when you add the three together, you can usually pick up a handful of singles for around $0.27 each after sales tax.
But otherwise, their selection is usually horrible, turns less often than Kmart’s, and is about as messy as the photo above. Everyone’s talking about kids running rampant through the Toy Section, but I once saw a lady drop a glass container with colored sand in it. It broke and spilled sand everywhere, but she just walked away. I had to be the one to warn others of it, and had my kids flag down an Associate to clean it up. So it’s not just kids who run rampant!
Yup, that’s about what EVERY Kohl’s toy department looks like. How they can charge 25% more for their toys beats me. Sad thing is the toys area is usually right next to “Customer Service”.
While the parents are at customer service trying to get a refund, their little brats are in the toy section tearing everything up.
