One Last Mystery Solved – What’s up with “A4” Sized Paper
Between Borders.com has resolved the issue of the A4 size paper versus the US 8.5″ by 11″ … in details upon details. 🙂
Basically, it comes down the whole metric system thing of precise measurements versus the 12″ equals a foot but 4 quarts equals a gallon or that 5280 is a mile – or that smidge is smaller than a skoosh … the US system takes real skill – any fool can calculate the whole MM-CM-M-KM and the power of ten, that’s just laziness. 🙂 … Look how much you pay for gas because it’s by the litre. 🙂
This was a “mystery” to you guys in the US? Oh no!

A4 is also known as “European Letterhead”
Only in US!
This might somehow explain how Haulers got made so small!
For @400 years, the British monetary system was a lot like the US measurement system: 12 pence to the shilling, 20 shillings to the pound. Making change must’ve been difficult!
(For that matter, up until the 1990’s the US stock market still traded in pieces-of-eight!)
A4 = 8.27″ X 11.69″ Go figure! 😕
