Disney Pixar CARS 2: The Toy Fair 2011 Chelsea Pier Unveiling
Right now, Disney is unveiling CARS 2 CARS info and products at a D23 event at Chelsea Piers.
“Gentlemen (and ladies), start your engines! Our friends at Disney Consumer Products are inviting members of D23 to a very special event and presentation celebrating the upcoming Disney·Pixar film Cars 2 during Toy Fair in New York City.
Inside Pier 60 of the infamous Chelsea Piers, D23 Members will be treated to a panel discussion with film talent and one-of-a-kind reveals.
Members will also get an exclusive first look at the exciting new line of Cars 2 toys coming out this summer. Following the panel, guests can enjoy refreshments and can take advantage of some ka-chow photo opportunities at the totally tricked out reception themed to the numerous international destinations highlighted in the movie with culinary offerings themed to each exotic locale. All guests will also receive a special keepsake Cars 2 gift!
Cars 2 sees Lightning McQueen take off on a high-speed adventure in the World Grand Prix, along with his pal Mater, who inadvertently finds himself mixed up in an international spy ring! All your favorite Cars characters are back for this exhilarating adventure around the world.”
A first sneak is a giant action toy (not diecast and not 1:55 scale) … of Finn McMissile.
* No, I do not know what the keepsake gift is yet but I’ll let you know when I do.

Thanks Dude-Steve-Dude for the awesome pics…!!!!
I am in love with the RIDE MAKERZ line up!!! WOW!!!! And the Monoploly game?!?!?!? Can you get any better than that!?!?!?
But what’s got me is the pseudo Piston Cup emblem/design on the McQueen car for cars deux…
What’s up with that?!?!? He never really WON the Piston cup did he?!?!?
Does Chick get disqualified?!?!?
Does this story (Cars 2) take place five years down the road from the first episode and mcQueen has had a chance to put a few Piston cups under his belt?!?!?
Pray tell, O Wise One, Dude-Met-Dude!!!
PS Finn McMissile is totally super-AWESOME!!!!
(MET: Yea, basically McQueen won the Piston Cup in 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010 so he was selected to represent Piston Cup racers in the inaugural World Grand Prix in the 2011. Chick is still around – he must be the 4 time runner up? Will do an update post in a couple days).
Cool photos, Steve! Thanks. There are quite a few sneak peaks of new Cars2 characters across the whole spectrum of lines shown. I saw a VW bug in the wooden line part. The jet is featured in in at least 3 mediums. Totally great display case for the diecast line recap. Glad to see even they have a lenticular Milton Calypeer, makes my collection feel slightly less inadequate heh heh. Awesome stuff.
Was there any news about the Mini-adventures line?

Looks as great as the 1:55 one. Can’t wait to get both!
Please someone to pick up QUERCY! He just fall down inconcious and has a weird scary smile in his face…. please HELP!
So cool!
Come in Mr Bond your time is up.
I saw about a dozen new models from the Mattel Cars 2 line up at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg 9 days ago – I was really stunned! They had about 9 models shown openly and a few more kept literally under wraps, allowing only short sneak peaks, impossible to take pictures there. I vaguely remember a big routemaster London bus model that was outstanding. Hope we’ll see some pics from the NY Toy Fair.
Frank
(MET: If the London Bus was all plastic, it should be the carrying case but there is an oversized).
The London bus was die-cast I believe, not large enough to be a carrying case but still impressively big.
(MET: A carrying case would be plastic – I have not seen any pics, just a listing … maybe it’s a EU release if it’s diecast …).
WOW! But, um, $60? Not sure I see it selling at that price; $30, maybe, if it was RC…
Whoops, replied to the wrong post; this applies to the microchipped LMQ post…
They’re coming fast-n-furious today!
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! 🙂
Just like the 1:55 Finn McMissile, the giant action toy looks cool… I’m going to want to add both of those to my collection.
where are the pics from Mattel’s appearance at Toy Fair from this past weekend
my buddy told me that CARS was not representaed at the fair
I’m the first to be hooked!
