Come Monday I will be telling the boss I need a days annual leave on Junen 23. I have given him some Cars for his son from the K-days so no way he can refuse when I tell him what its for.
And it looks like my boys will be away from school sick that day. Might wait until after the movie send sick note to school as will look a little suss if I send a note in now.
Now if we are gonna get the movie first then seems only right that we get the Cars 2 first as well, just for consistency you know.
Great news for Australia. I am happy you are getting some Cars love. Well deserved. Some great collectors down there.
I feel terrible for the UK, France and some other countries. So many great collectors in the UK. Not cool to have to hear about it for 4 weeks before seeing.
Maybe any interested UKers can chip in toward a group trip to NYC. Matinee in Manhattan anyone? Matt can you comendeer a cheap round trip flight? The Big Apple is nice in June.
I am already planning to go the premiere Jun 24th with any interested friends and members here in NYC. The more the Merrier. I am taking a 4 or 5 day weekend. Don’t forget Kmart day 6 is slated for that weekend also. What a weekend it will be.
It would be great to get groups of Take 5ers and Cars lovers come together in various locations.
Maybe we can start a thread listing theaters members will be attending for the premiere. I’m sure the girls in Cali will want to party too. Thats already NY and LA covered. Jazzy, Micky and the crew in Florida? Eric and Chris do I hear a Pacific north west thing? Kevin and the Utah crew. John and Jeanne under the arch hosting? I see big possibilities all over.

Given the time difference, isn’t it more like two days? It’s already tomorrow morning in Sydney, so if the movie premiers at 12:01 a.m. on June 23, it’ll still be the 22nd in the U.S.
I know what I’m doing on June 24… hopefully… taking my grandchildren to go see Cars 2!
Ok, now I must confess I thought we would be seeing this long after you guys, and I would literally be seeing and hearing about it here long beforehand. I don’t know why we are ahead, normally we are behind. I certainly feel for the other countries who are behind and may be following on here. Let’s hope we don’t give away the story too much.
