The old Star Tours has been retired and the new one is on its way …

Trailer for Star Tours II (in 3D)
More info from the official Disney blog.
On a related note, the Star Wars Blu Ray discs have been announced … though you do have to wait until September (2011).
All six movies in a 9-disc set with “Three additional discs and more than 30 hours of extensive special features including never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives, and much more.”
Or if prefer to buy each trilogy separate … the original trilogy … the prequel trilogy.

I saw that the other day these were listed for pre-order, and my wife commented that she assumed that we had to own these along with the VHS versions and DVD versions. 🙂
Thank GOODNESS there will be a choice to NOT buy the prequel garbage. My other hope is that these are the original 1977, 1980, and 1983 releases, and not the enhanced versions from 1999.
(MET: Sorry GL has decided that only the “revised” versions will do … that Greedo shot first scene looks ridicules …).
That was the only dissappointment at Disney this holiday, was the Star Tours ride being closed for revamping…. just have to go back I guess!!!
Gonna have to go out and buy a blue ray player now… Yeah!!!
Caused quite the stir at the Star Wars Celebration when they announced the Blue Ray set and Mark Hamill showed a deleted Return of the Jedi Scene!
May the force be with us! I’m looking forward to getting the Star Wars Blu-ray set.
